Something I want to share with you Bucks....

HoltWVU75

Buckeye fan for one saturday in late November.
Im sure this may be better on the recruiting board, but this isnt really about recruiting. I spoke with a gentleman yesterday who is close to Josh Jenkins' family. He was telling my dad and I that Josh is looking hard at OSU, ND, and WVU. Anyways, he said when Charlie Weis flew into WV for visit Josh in home, he stepped off the plane and said nothing but negative things about the state of WV, the people of WV, about how if he stays here he will never make anything of himself, WV is nothing but trash. He went on and on and on about how bad the State of West Virginia is.

He said then Jim Tressel flew into WV to visit Josh's family and said nothing but great things about the state, how beautiful it was. said how he couldnt go wrong if he chose WVU because of our fans and how nice the residents of WV are. He said he's always loved our state and enjoyed visiting here and how tOSU has many Alum and fans in the state of WV.

I know this is kind of off subject, but I thought I would share this to you. Truthfully, I hope ND fails miserabley under Weis and he never gets another job anywhere. Just comes to show thow classy and respectful Coach Tressel is compared to that fat slob at ND.

Good luck against Michigan.....

I'm hard pressed to say where this post should be moved to Holt.

Fits a Tressel thread.

Fits the Charlie Weis thread.

Fits in the ND Football Thread.

Fits in the Recruiting Tidbits thread (Rumor Mill).

And, of course, it fits the Josh Jenkins thread.

Sum and substance though, I guess we can strike ND off Josh's list of preferred locations. :) (And thanks for the respectful words about the best thing to happen to Ohio State Football in decades).

I'm pretty sure Tressel and his coaching staff have gone to WVU during the summer a few times to compare notes and trade strategies and things of that nature. So it makes sense that Tressel would have good things to say about that state (in addition to the fact that Tressel probably wouldn't say anything negative to a recruit in the first place).

There is a reason Coach Tressel has five national championship rings and Charlie can only brag about the ring Bill Belicheck gave him.

There is also a reason why Ohio State is 10-1 and is a super power in football and Ntre Ame is not.

These are directly related.

on a little side note, i went to wvu for a year but have been a buckeyes fanatics since.. lets say.. i was a sperm lol... but i cant even count the times that i have yelled OH- downtown on a weekend and been returned numerous -IO's in morgantown. my dorm was covered in pictures of krenzel getting carried off the field and script ohio's and no one ever said anything negative. my dad grew up in dub-v so i respect his fan-hood for the mountaineers and can even find myself hoping they win on occasion, but i gotta say the students and fans there are pretty respectful and classy... of course except when pitt is involved (my gf's favorite team... what a cluster fuck huh?).

Weiss should have never become a college head coach. He didn't realize the complexity of recruiting people. Weiss isn't a people person. It kind of reminds me of running for a government office. Would you vote for Weiss over Tress? I don't think so.

I find it funny that Weis can talk that crap, and run his SB ring under their noses, and have a very deserving season for his recruiting antics. I have come to expect nothing short of "The Best" when Coach Tressel pays a visit. He's all about helping these athletes excel in Scholastics and life. What more can a Mom and Dad want for their son, But to be around an influence like Coach Tressel. I would love it if Coach Tressel got to dot the "I"!!!!!

Exactly. I love how Tressel 'controls' his team and 'teaches' values. Obviously Weis does none of that if he trash talks States & people through out the United States. I'm sure if players see their coach doing these things, they'll think it's ok for them to do it as well.

To sum up Coach Tressel, "He leads by example" How many times have you heard players talking to the press, and it sound like something Coach Tressel would say! I mean, Wow! What an example of what doing right, can do you for ya. Future leaders are being made on and off the field through OSU's program. Props and thanks to Coach Tressel. He's a gem! Yes I am gushing, cause he deserves it!
