Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

Howdy fellow Bucks fans! I actually graduated from the U. of Akron, but have ALWAYS been a Buckeye at heart, because of my Dad, who did go to OSU. I ended up meeting and marrying a girl, who's an OSU alum (along with both her parents, both of her uncles and both of her maternal grandparents). In actuality, I spent so much time on campus while I was dating my future wife that I probably should have paid tuition :) I moved from N.E. Ohio a couple of years ago and now live in San Antonio. I just joined the "Planet" a few days ago and have to say that it's been much easier to take the lose since I can commiserate with everyone else. Last year, I had to go it alone and it wasn't pretty...

Go Bucks!:osu:

Well I'll check in aswell. Im 23yrs old and I live in Austin, Texas. I've been a buckeye fan as far back as i can remember. What makes me a little different is I grew up the first 22yrs of my life in Kalamazoo, Michigan! All my friends, uncles, cousins, co-workers etc are all Michigan fans. So it has been a fun rivalry with everyone i know. My father grew up in columbus so he's always been a fan and it just rubbed off on me. Not my 2 brothers tho, they are scUM fans.

Im looking forward to my stay. And doing my part in representing THE Ohio State Buckeyes' fan club in Austin.

haha, just noticed the new member above me. Clever name!

About Me

This is my first time on buckeye planet. I have been trying to find a place where I was around fellow die hard Ohio State fans. I'm one of the most die hard OSU fans you will ever meet. it was branded in my head since i was young. My parents has season tickets. my dad was an emeritus at ohio state. My dad had retired from Ohio State after being the dean of students for a while at one of the local branches. So I had been to all the home games since I can remember. Almost all the bowl games and many many away games. I'm now a student at OSU. I had been working with the Department of Corrections for a while. Then decided that wasn't my cup of tea and went back to school. Since I have started a very small company called, Spladow Productions. As you can see on my avatar and my signature. This is just a small sample of some things I do. I have been writing for a website that has really taken off, called Chasing74 - I hope to soon be done with my sports journalism, and broadcasting and hopefully have my own radio show i would love that would strictly cover ohio state football, it is something i am very passionate about. hopefully just being part of this forum will broaden my herizons more. and some day help me be a better journalist. you gotta start some place. feel free to add me on my my space as well it is MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/8727088 i write a blog through out the season and my thoughts on ohio state football. my blog isn't for the average fan. so if you are offended easily by off color remarks and breif profanity at times please stray away. I hope as well i can become a valuable assit to the forum and the buckeye planet community. I have been a top contributor on yahoo answers on college football for quite sometime. but I am no longer gong to affiliate my self with it any more any way shape or form. the no class SEC fans and USC fans ruin it for every one. It was fun when classy people were using it but now I'm fed up with it. and have moved strictly to chasing 74 and now the buckeye planet. hope you all will enjoy my post.

Hi everyone! Just joined buckeye planet yesterday, and already love this board! Very active, and very nice people.

I was born an Ohio State fan but my obsession with OSU football just began in September 2004 when my dad took me to my first Ohio State football game, at NC State. We won, and I was enamored by the fan base in my very own hometown. Later that same season we went up to Ohio Stadium to see the Buckeyes play against Penn State. What an eye opening experience! I have sense fallen in love with both the Bucks and the entire college football game. I am headed to attend OSU this fall, all because of that fateful day that I stepped into Ohio Stadium for the very first time. Since I am a fairly new fan (my interest has continued to grow each season since 2004), I still have a lot to learn, but I love every minute of it!

Ohio bred, still live in state, and can remember when Rex Kern and Jim Stillwagon played and we won it all in 1968.

I remember when Woody clocked Charlie Baumann in 1978.

I remember the Earle of Bruce years (eh, at best).

I am desperately trying to forget the Cooper years.

I lived to see another NC in 2003 (thank you, Tressel).

Now let's get another and stop these title game losses and I will be a completely happy man.

GO BUCKS

:oh: :io:

Searchability?

Okay, maybe I am internet-incompetent. But is there a way to search threads on here? I'm trying to find info. about Aram Olson and whether he is ready to step in at FB, since we lost the top 3 out of our depth chart. Is this new Glenville signee going to take his PT?

Look up at the top of the window. See the black line and red line right under it? Just above teh "Torrents/Stats" on the red line you will see the word "Search." YOu could try that. Might work.

Born and raised in Kettering, OH. I was indoctrinated into the Buckeye faithful by my Father and Grandfather. I graduated OSU and moved to Tupelo, MS (the birthplace of Elvis Presley I might add) to pursue a career in Engineering. My passions include my family (I have a pair of beautiful twins), computers in general, and watching OSU kick the crap out of scUM every 3rd Saturday in November.
