Southern Cal 28, UCLA 7 (Final)

I like tradition. The colored home jersey's thing is a great idea. I know they started it because they both played at home, but I think more rivals should do this. It'd be sweet to see scarlet Buckeyes against Blue Wolverines. I always felt like both teams home jersey's looked better, and would be pretty sweet on the field at the same time, even though i know the point was because USC and UCLA both played at the same home, and OSU/Mich doesn't haev that.

that would be pretty cool. as for the USC/UCLA thing, if both teams agree, why is the NCAA enforcing that rule? seems like a non-issue to me.

If USC loses, who wins the tiebreaker between Oregon, Oregon State, and USC, and why?

The answer is Oregon State.

Because none of the three beat the other two, the tiebreaker then goes to the teams’ record against the next team in the Pac-10 standings, in this case Cal. (This is a weird rule, but it's better to have lost to a crappy team, then to a better team, like Cal)
Both USC and Oregon State beat Cal while Oregon lost to the Golden Bears, eliminating the Ducks.
The formula then goes to head-to-head between the remaining teams. The Beavers beat the Trojans, 27-21, Sept. 25. Therefore, Oregon State would go to the Rose Bowl."

Oregon State. Cal is the 4th place team, and only Oregon lost to Cal. Oregon is thus eliminated. Since it is down to two teams, head-to-head is used. Oregon State beat USC head-to-head, so Nits vs. Beavs.

Call me crazy, but I like the road whites, especially in rivalry games...kind of gives you even more of that "us versus the world" mentality that seems to be so successful on the road if harvested correctly. That said, if both the teams in this case want to wear the homes, that's cool too, they should be allowed to do it. If they make an arrangement by which the teams agree to burn a timeout to start the game each year so it affects both teams equally, all the better, to make the NCAA look stupid, which it is.

It's the NCAA...

Gotta love it. They wash their hands of any thoughts of a championship tournament while letting 6 conferences take over the post season, but don't even think about wearing a different color jersey on their watch...or else. :roll2:

I think USC will win this game, BUT I think they are a highly overrated team overall.

I think their so-called "great defense" is the product of a laughably soft schedule.

Other than Ohio State, did they play ANYBODY??

Against the teams they mainly played, the defensive numbers are grossly inflated against. Any team looks great against the Washington and Notre Dames of the world.

the first round of this years draft disagrees.....

Waaaaah!

Everyone else in our conference sucks so we always go to the rose bowl.

Waaaah.

I planted a sympathy tree in front of my house, as soon as it grows up, I'll have some sympathy for you. It has to be watered with USC fan tears, fortunately, there's a lot of those this year so it should grow fast.
