i also just got back. i thought it was worth the money to go see. the plotline is condensed with 3 villains in one movie though even though the movie is about 2.5 hours long. i thought it was pretty good but i wasn't coming into it with huge expectations. the biggest problem is there are a lot of dare i say "cheesy" moments in the movie but after that it follows the storyline so you can only blame the comic book. i think people always are just pissed that it ends happy all the time.

I loved Venom! Coulda done without all the cheesy stuff, but that was not the worst thing. Peter Parkers Emo look and then the whole Jazz club shit.....what was that!? Overall I liked it, but can see why it's getting ripped by critics.

yea i can understand the critics but for being a third sequel it still retains the whole concept the original movie had......just with more cheesiness(peter as venom, aunt may, tv reporters, police officers). but hey its coming from a comic book so i guess it should be expected to some extent to graphically illustrate the storyline. i am kinda dissapointed that REALISTICALLY the only two people died.....one of which being good.

I am going to go see it in the next day or two. Tired to go to a late show last night but they were sold out and most of the shows for tonight were already sold out.

The said later in this article that it made over 100 million in one day when you add in the international market.

Not a shock given how horrible and melodramatic II was.

yea true. i think its just because its a comic. its supposed to be absurdly dramatic but they take it over the steepend sometimes. i thought II had a nice flowing plotline and you got to see exactly what you wanted to see which was the hype of pete falling in love with MJ, MJ finding out who he was, the struggle of peter being spiderman, etc.

I thought it was good. Not earth-shattering, but good. If you want to sit there and zone out for a couple of hours, and you don't want to stare at the television doing what you normally do, then this is a good choice. They didn't try to put too much of the sappy "acting" crap in the movie. Though, some made it in. But there's still good fighting and stuff.

No shots of Kirsten Dunst in the rain, though.

ya know what, im no longer accepting that as an excuse. hollywood has been sucking serious ass as of late. if they want to go the comic book route to take advantage of the insto fan base thats fine with me. but they still have to develop a quality product. you don't get a free pass to create a lame story just because the story is based on a "graphic novel". your creating a big name high budget movie. try acting like it for a change.

its the same as making a movie based on a video game. you get no free pass here. if your movie is less entertaining than watching someone else play the actual game.... YOU SUCK!

this is rather dissapointing as i was really looking forward to seeing spiderman 3. expecially after the abortion that was 300.

oh i know it is no excuse but they are just taking a superfictional plot and throwing it in there making it kinda more unrealistic than it already is......then again there really isn't much explanation for it. i cracked up when the meteor carrying the symbiote came flying into the earth and barely made anything but a little puff and dust. peter parker would of been doneskis right there in reality.
