SPRING DRIVE 2006 - Part 2: Incentives and Spring Drive Discussion

SPRING DRIVE 2006 - Part 2: Incentives and Spring Drive Discussion

Our purpose is very serious, but we’re still a community that enjoys having, oh, perhaps just a little fun from time to time ... and in that spirit, the staff has devised an incentive plan to kick off this most important Spring Drive.

Helping our friend and devoted Buckeye ... Clarity. What better incentive could there be????

forum_new.gif
The staff has decided to award vCash at a 1 to 1,000 ratio. Thus:
$1 real cash = 1,000 vCash
$5 real cash = 5,000 vCash
$100 real cash = 100,000 vCash

... and so forth, without limit. We are also considering a reverse program for gregorylee. vCash totals will be updated once a week (probably Fridays, but more often if possible) for all confirmed donations. Please be patient as some transactions take several days to clear the PayPal/BuckeyePlanet system.

Uniform changes? NBA tights? There’s no fashion sense like BP fashion sense! Celebrate Buckeye victories in style with your FREE BuckeyePlanet uber-deluxe t-shirt! Aged to perfection in SIMV’s climate-controlled basement, these classic collectibles remaining from last season’s fundraisers will be given away to each person who donates $50 or more (2 for $100, etc.). We have a limited quantity and limited sizes available, so the first to donate will get first pick of size and style. The next eligible donation gets next pick, and so on until the shirts are gone. SIMV has graciously agreed to donate the shipping cost for these shirts. He will send them out at the conclusion of the Spring Drive.

Click here to view t-shirt availability.

NOTE: Please contact 3yardsandacloud via PM with your requested shirt size and shipping address. Once the Spring Drive ends all shirts will be shipped.

From the bravest Military Hero to the Cowardly Lion, everybody loves a Medal! Get yours by donating $5 or more. As soon as we get the medal system up and running - which should be soon - these spiffy “Spring Drive ‘06” medals will appear in the box containing your username and details that appears with each post.

Other folks are discussing other possible fundraising activities and incentives. Further details as they become available. If you have an idea, send a PM to 3yardsandacloud or any administrator or moderator can help.

Well, the first such activity has been brought to my attention. SIMV is organizing a gathering to play some poker ... and possibly benefit Clarity. Click here for details

ALL donations made to BuckeyePlanet from the time of this post until the end of the Spring Drive is announced will go directly to Clarity for use in obtaining medical care, paying for past medical care, and making housing payments.

Paypaled mine last night. Couldn't do much, but I hope everyone does whatever they can. I posted the following last night in the wrong thread, but I hope it helps make everyone realize that any amount helps.

I read Clarity's story with a heavy heart. I had no idea he is going through all of that. At first, I thought that the little amount that I could give ceratinly wouldn't make a difference. Then I thought again. I realized that if a bunch of us give just a little, maybe 2 of us pay the electric bill for the month. Maybe another 2 people pay for a months worth of medicine that he needs, etc...

I guess what I'm saying is, not matter how little you can afford, every single dollar is a dollar they didn't have before.

God bless Clarity and his family.
