I think Notre Dame has a shot at beating this team.

Big 3rd down conversion there for USC.

What does everyone think about the Red line of scrimage on the field. I think they are going a bit too far...I like the 1st down yellow line...but I don't need a line telling me where the line of scrimage is.

Yes...last year tOSU dropped from 2nd to 3rd after a 3 point win vs. SDSU, and then dropped from 3rd to 5th after the 3OT win vs. #24 NCST. (AP poll) I guess if you follow that logic USC should drop at least 1 spot. I loved how last year as defending national champions...we kept winning and they kept dropping us in the polls. Why not do that to this years defending national champions?

USC really should drop a spot in the polls. The announcers foolishly said "Since Oklahoma didn't play today, they probably won't go around USC". How about rating both teams based on all of the games they have played to date? It's a concept. But with the BCS, #2 is as good as #1 at the end of the regular season.

I'll be appalled if USC stays #1. Having said that, I expect to be appalled. But the winner of Texas-Oklahoma should be #1 on October 10th.

stanford should be forced to give up their football program.....a "home" game against the defending national champs and your SMALL stadium is only 2/3 full??
the usc fans were twice as loud as the cardinal fans and usc was in deep trouble all night....

great conference that pac10.....what great fans....

I thought the difference in the game was Stanford o-line or rather lack of o-line. In the first half their QB had time to pass in the 2nd half he was running for his life instead of passing the ball. I think USC will be 2nd in at least one of the polls. I was hoping USC would lose last night just to see if the pollsters would move us ahead of them.

You guys have completely lost control of Bucknuts. I never thought I would see a Buckeye post this:

Oh well. Luck was on USC's side on second half. They were lucky not to give up a single TD in second half.

Isn't this the argument everyone used to make with OSU? "They just barely won". Also, look at game locations:

USC
Washington, D.C.
Los Angeles, CA
Provo, UT
Palo Alto, CA

Oklahoma
Norman, OK
Norman, OK
Norman, OK
next week: Norman, OK

Nope, Never, Not a chance. Any good team always has a stable of running backs (Yes OSU does too) to take the place of a sub par running back but not many Nugents are ever even recruited. He is a rare find. Running backs are a dime a dozen (hehe even though a good ones hard too find these days). God I can't beleive I said anything good about a kicker .... someone help me... do I have to wash my mouth out with soap or something ?? I feel all dirty inside complimenting a kicker ...
