Post-Commitment Edition

Jake Stoneburner made the Buckeye Nation extremely happy this week as he pulled the trigger to become commitment #5 for the promising Class of 2008. While Jake can possibly play tight end or wide receiver, one thing is for sure...he will cause matchup problems wherever he lines up on the football field. The BPRT spoke with Jake as the recruiting ball just started rolling in January. Now the future Buckeye is back for another round of the Straight Six...only this time, its the Post-Commitment Edition.

BPRT: You are the fifth member of what could be an incredible class for 2008. What sealed the deal for the Buckeyes?

JS: I've always dreamed of being able to be a buckeye and play at the Shoe, and just being able to be close with the coaches and the recruits comming in. It made it an easy choice.

BPRT: Now that you are a Buckeye, who do you plan on convincing to join you in Columbus?

JS: Michael Brewster. I will work him until the day he commits, and he will be a Buckeye.

BPRT: Name a few of your earliest Buckeye memories...what are some names that stand out to you?

JS: My earliest memory had to be when Eddie George was playing and he won the Heisman. That year was really the first year I started to actually watch football and pay attention to the Buckeyes.

BPRT: If you had to compare yourself to an established player in the NFL or college ranks, who would you choose?

JS: Joe Jurevicius.

BPRT: What are your goals at tOSU?

JS: I want to play as a freshman, win Big Ten and National Titles, and the most important thing is to beat Michigan all four years.

BPRT: What changes do you expect in your life now that you are a future Buckeye?

JS:
Now I dont have to constantly worry about what school I'm going to choose or people always asking me when im going to decide. Now, I can just focus on winning a state championship, but still knowing that I'm a Buckeye.

From the BPRT and all of the fans on BP, welcome home Jake. We all look forward to seeing great things from you!
