with Jamiihr Williams

The BPRT is back with one of the brightest stars on what should be a power-packed Trotwood-Madison team in 2007. Jamiihr Williams transferred to T-M from Lima Senior for this upcoming season and will concentrate solely on the defensive side of the ball. After being injured for much of the 2006 season, the 6'2" 230 pound linebacker is anxious to get back on the field and show everyone why he is one of the most promising recruits in the nation. The Buckeyes are well aware of this beast as he was a frequent guest during the 2006 season. This spring, Jamiihr is consumed with preparation for a massive season, but he did find time for a take at the Straight 6...

BPRT: When you think of Ohio State football, what comes to mind?

JW: It's my home state team, it has great tradition, and it's known to send players to the next level where they become successful. I would love to have the opportunity to play for the Buckeyes.

BPRT: What position would you prefer to play in college and why?

JW: Any of the linebacker positions or wherever I can most help my team be successful.

BPRT: This is your senior year...what goals have you set personally and for your team?

JW: My personal goal is to be the best student-athlete I can be by being an Honor Roll student and having over 120 tackles and 10 sacks. Ultimately, this will lead me to the Army All-American Game so I can compete against the best talent in the nation and prove that I am one of the best football players in the nation. My goals for my team is to lead us to a State Championship, have our team ranked nationally, and win in the Herbstreit Classic so we can bring a win back to the state of Ohio.

BPRT: When your career is over, how would you like people to remember Jamiihr Williams?

JW: I want people to remember me as man that gave it all he had on the field and in life. I also want to be remembered as a great person because life is more than just football or sports...and remember me as one who excelled at every level.

BPRT: If you were analyzing yourself on film, what would you list as your strengths and what needs some work?

JW: My strengths are that I am a great athlete, I'm very coachable, and will play where ever the team needs me. My coaches have identified I need to work on playing a little lower and work on reading the offensive line better. We've been working it all spring and its made me more explosive...I can't wait until the fall.

BPRT: What are some of your favorite things to do away from football?

JW: I like to hang with my family and friends or just generally be around people. I also love to workout and read, because I like to keep the body and mind sharp.

The BPRT would like to thank Jamiihr Williams for participating in the Straight 6. We look forward to seeing great things from this young man.
