I hope that extra money helps him sleep at night because the Cavs are better off without him. The Cavs wouldn't have Gooden, Varejao, and Tractor if Loozer hadn't screwed them over. So I say thanks, and I hope you like playing for a crappy team that just blew a 19 pt lead to lose by more than 10.

Also, Gooden is cheaper on the cap.
Meaning the Cavs can sign some free agents.

Losing him will make the team better in the long run.

I can't wait until the game in Cleveland.
He will be attacked the whole game.

Agree... In a couple years Varejao will be stud... kid has all the tools and a great attitude.

This Cavs team is fun to watch. If they can pull off a 4-2 on this west coast swing they'll have some great momentum.
4-2 would be great, but 3-3 would be fine.

Owner rips Boozer - Akron Beacon Journal - Fri 2/11

Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller, who signed former Cavalier Carlos Boozer to a six-year, $68 million contract in the off-season, told the Salt Lake Tribune that he's unhappy with Boozer and the 16-33 Jazz. ``He has been terrific some nights. Some nights, he has looked like he didn't care that much,'' Miller told the paper.

``I like Carlos a lot. I try to remember he's only 23. But he's here because we need a big presence at power forward, and I just hope he will play the way he ought to 82 games a year. If you go just on his performance, season to date, there's an argument that we overpaid a little bit, from what we expected. He's a talented player; I don't know how tough he is... It's hard for me (to tolerate) anybody who doesn't play up to his physical capability, especially defensively. (The contract) thrust him into a position where it certainly would suggest he should be a leader on the team, both as a basketball player and an emotional leader, and that was a role he wasn't used to being in. We're still expecting him to step up and be at least one of the leaders we hope would come forward.''

Hey, when you sign a greedy jackass like him, should you expect him to play hard every night when he gets paid all the same?

This is great. Utah's stuck with Boozer, and because of his outrageous salary, Boozer will be stuck in Utah. Have fun in our nation's most backwards state for the next 5 1/2 years, douchebag!

The best part of it is that the Cavs are probably getting Gooden, Traylor, and Varejao for less than Boo$er is making. I bet it's even less than they were willing to pay him. I think players need to realize that if you play with Lebron he will make you look good as long as you are a team player cough cough Ricky Davis and Darius Miles. McInnis and Gooden were supposed to have attitude problems before they came to the Cavs.
If they can resign Z (not overpay) and sign a Redd/Allen type of guy they could win the east.

Z should be an easy resign. 1) Lebron already told the powers that be that he wants Z to stay and 2) Z is on record as saying he only wants a 3 year deal because he wants to retire after that, hence, alot less risk on a 3 year contract.

It's funny..but you guys want Redd... we want Z. We were ravaged with injuries this year...and are lacking a "big". we have tons of money next year to play with...who knows what will happen though. There has even been talk of Ray Ray coming back. (don't see it -even though Karl is gone)

I want Z to stay more than a signing a shooting guard. If Jackson can get healthy he could be a good shooting guard in the future. I would like to see the Cavs draft a good point guard this year. None of the guards they have are overly impressive this year.

Jeff Mac has played pretty well this year. Lately he's been off but for the most part, he's been fine. Snow just stinks. It should be easy to find a pg to replace him.

I'd (and Silas too) rather not have to trade anyone of substance to get a sg this season. I think we 'll need Jackson , Varajo(sp) and Pavlovic in the future. I'd hate to see any of them go. I think you're right about giving Jackson a chance before we need to bring in another.
