I thought Miller looked pretty agile out there and surprisingly aggressive in his run blocking. I am actually not opposed one bit to him starting, with J.B. getting some reps as well. Miller looks like the kind of athlete we need there, plus he provides experience and huge upside imo. At right tackle I am a little concerned but not a ton. I think Cordle is an effective run blocker but I still wonder if he has the tools for a pass blocking tackle. It is consoling to know that Ballard is a great blocker and could help out if needed on the right side in protection. The interior OL is going to be spectacular in all honesty, all three B's look athletic and mean. The run blocking will be there for and hopefully the pass protection is adequate...Pryor can make up for bad pass protection occasionally with his legs but we need some consistency for him to excel.

Eric Lichter and the Pryor 4.33 40

Is anyone doing anything to rebutt the allegations that Pryor's reported 4.33 40 was a lie, planted in the press by Mike Brewster and Lamaar Thomas, at the direction of the OSU coaching staff?

The BigTen Network guys asked JT about it during their 90-minute OSU preview show (gently, but they asked) and some Columbus reporters have even taken to saying Pryor "allegedly" ran a 4.33.

Eric Lichter and the Sports Information Director need to address these allegations directly, convincingly and publicly. The University should not be known as a place where adult instructors/coaches direct students to promulgate lies to the public through the media.

This is not a 'tee-hee-hee, boys-will-be-boys' story. It is a serious issue involving the integrity of the Ohio State University and someone needs to address it head-on.

Is it really that big of a deal?

But its not like this story magically appeared. I remember back in June, I heard tressel speak at a golf outing, where he mentioned some 40 times at a team combine OSU had, and one was TP's 4.33, which I reported in Pryor's thread.

But anyway, who cares, Pryor is obviously very fast.

Fall Camp Produces some Pleasant Surprises

It seems like just yesterday the Buckeyes were reporting to the hotel for a month of fall camp, but alas the start of the 2009 football season is (literally) just around the corner. With the conclusion of fall camp this week, things are finally taking shape for Ohio State as they are set to begin their first official game-week of the season in preparation for the opener against Navy.

I think you need to relax. Who gives a [censored]? Obviously you do, but as you can tell you are in a minority. 40 times mean jack crap. I get the feeling that JT has bigger things to worry about than addressing the length of time it takes Pryor to run a 40. You do realize that you are getting worked up about a guy running a straight line for 40 yards, right? Just sit back and read back through your post. Aren't there bigger issues in your life to worry about? Is this really that big of a deal? Go grab a bag of Fritos, crack open a cold one, and chill the hell out. :wink:

Fall Camp Disappointments

With the conclusion of fall practice at Ohio State, we took the time Saturday to name our seven pleasant surprises of camp, including freshman tailback Jordan Hall, who made it all the way to the top of our list.

Unfortunately, not every surprise of the fall was a positive one for the Buckeyes. There were some players who simply did not produce the way many expected, which brings us to our seven biggest disappointments of OSU?s 2009 fall camp.

Moeller injury, Berry, Small, Thoma/Buchanan, Wilson, Stoneburner, Adams

Yeah, but hurt, minor injury on a true freshmen, no idea/RS freshmen, recovering from major injuries, injured, doghouse.

Most of those guys have good reasons to underperform, save Thoma. I'm not overly concerned about the guys on this list.
