They trusted the MVP with the ball in his hands to score one more TD to finish the game, and you knew the game looked iced after that Julio catch. Tevin Coleman would be a damn good option to finish the game, but he was knocked out with the ankle injury. Freeman was having some issues with yardage loss with his shake n' bake style. The calls were fine. That was just a choke job.

I disagree. You're in field goal range to go up 2 scores with less than 5 minutes left. Use the clock to your advantage and run the ball. MVP or not, passing was unwise. They also weren't bleeding the play clock before snapping the ball. The Falcons looked like a team who hadn't been there before and it cost them. Big time.

nba finals: warriors up 3-1; cavs win.
masters: spieth up 5 going into back 9 of final round; willett wins.
world series: indians up 3-1; cubs win.
college football championship: bama up 10 at start of 4th; clemson wins.
super bowl: falcons up 19 at start of 4th; pats win.

though clemson's comeback wasn't exactly shocking, the rest were outstanding chokes.

On top of the NBA and world series having blown 3-1 leads, the Patriots scored 31 unanswered points.

Even with that level of general chaos loose in the universe for some unknown cosmic reason, OSU beat tsun in The Game.....again.

To be honest, they could have thrown a flag against whoever was guarding Edelman on at least HALF of his routes. Their strategy was to hold all game long and hope the refs didn't call too many. Those are the facts. I saw three uncalled holds on replays, and I'm sure the game tape would show more. Those three in a row in the first half weren't accidental. At that point, it's a "strategy". The refs are all about NE winning? Please. Goodell would put the word out in favor of ANYONE but Bellichick's team.
It's always amazing how NE gets calls or non calls at crucial points in a tight game. Goes all the way back to the fucking made up "tuck rule". This franchise cheats and has been caught at it at on multiple occasions. Kraft has something on someone.

Key highlights (or lowlights) from the Superbowl:

1). Lil Woof was excellent and went right to sleep at 7:45pm, which was plenty of time to avoid seeing his dad cry ugly, grown ass man tears.

2). I drank two and a half bottles of wine

3). I came to bed at 11:15pm but went to the bathroom first. I don't know who to blame but I must have been over-served. I peed everywhere but the toilet in the bathroom. Mrs. Woof was really, really angry at me.

4). Hungover, I thought getting Taco Bell breakfast was a good idea this morning. I was very wrong.

5). I came to work and I've had 5 different people stop by my office to discuss the game. I do not want to talk about the game.

6). From now until my dying day, I'm going to pray that Lil Woof does not like sports. Nobody deserves this shit, least of all, my little guy.

I don't even like professional football any more, and did not watch the game, and am nevertheless slightly queasy this morning.

Pat's are the Damn Yankees of football. It gets effing old.
And it's even more depressing knowing what the legacy of Brady/Belichick would truly be had two teams (Seahawks and Falcons) just decided to run the ball when they were suppose to.

I get the Pats are great, but they also have some unique ability to make teams/coaches lose their dang minds. I don't understand God in those moments

They really just seem to walk between the raindrops, don't they?

And for all the (deserved) grief Kyle Shanahan/Matt Ryan are taking, people are conveniently ignoring the Falcons defense that gave up 546 yards and couldn't stop a pedestrian player like James White. He caught FOURTEEN fucking passes, including several in key moments. WTF, Falcons?

their D was gassed much like Bama's vs Clemson....

93: Total number of plays run by New England, breaking the NFL record (regular season and playoffs) set by the Pittsburgh Steelers (84) in Super Bowl XXX. Atlanta ran 46 plays.

Atlanta couldn't stay on the field to rest their D... goes back to Kyle... just saying
