T/F Aaron Johnson (Ohio State track)

Thank ya'll for the support. I coming in to work hard and play as a freshman. My speed has dropped to a 4.38 since Nike Camp and I'm now working with 1 of the best speed trainers n Baton Rouge. So by next year i ought to be at about a 4.2. So I'm really looking forward to playing with ya'll. I think I am going to be receiving a offer from USC soon. But as of now the commitment is pretty solid. Imma holla at yall later

On BN, a few posters seem pretty sure that he doesn't have an offer.

This kid was told LAST YEAR to "keep OSU in mind" at camp.

He apparently has taken that broad and generic quip from over a year ago as an "offer".

Couldn't be farther from the truth.

OSU has not extended an offer at all. Not to say the don't have an interest...but he does not have an offer nor does it sound like OSU has even been in contact lately.

All confirmed by his father.

I personally would hope that if he doesn't currently have one, that he gets one soon. I'm a big fan of speedy, quick receivers in the Santonio Holmes mode. Tall receivers are alright, but our game is speed, and I'll take 5'10, 4.4, over 6'5, 4.65 anyday.

There's about a 6 foot diffence between a 4.4 and 4.65, so in real life football, you're talking 1-2 foot on a 10-15 yard route. The amount of seperation that is gained is so minimal that it's rarely worth giving up the physical presence that comes with a 6'5 receiver.

Personally, I couldn't care less whether a player runs a 4.25 (Xavier Carter) or a 4.68 (Peter Warrick) because the numbers don't mean anything if the player doesn't have that "IT" factor.
