Agreed...classic tailgating isn't always the best option at Ohio Stadium because there is always so much going on around the stadium. Plus it makes it hard to pack everything up and get to the skull session on time.

Second this. My first game was at 12 years old and I remember doing this exactly and it was amazing. Get to the Skull Session early though.

I did this for my first experience at The Game as a student and highly recommend it as well (I went to skull session several hours early because I was so anxious).

If you can get to the stadium fast enough after skull session, I recommend getting to a spot inside the rotunda (somewhere in the concourse above A1 or A2, or look from above on the B-C ramps). There are actually 2 ramps from the rotunda to the field (or I guess it might be just one with a break in the middle). As the band enters the stadium, they run/fast march into the concourse down the first ramp. There is a lot of hollering, jumping around, high-fiving, etc. when they get in, then they usually sing a song or two. Also cool to watch the Ramp Entrance from here if you've seen it from inside enough (too much is never enough ~ Billy Idol).

Its actually really limited there now as far as tailgating lots go. (unless you want to park on Ackerman Rd and walk a mile to the stadium). I wish they'd open up the field where the Chemical Abstract Service bldg is (where TBDBITL and CSO used to perform their concerts)

Thanks guys for the information, I feel like a kid again, to take my boy to our loved buckeyes and experience something together is amazing. The game I am going to is at 3:30 so what are the times that I should be there for these. I have never gone to skull session, I have seen tbdbitl enter the stadium (which is freakin awesome!). My thought was to be there around noon just to walk around and show him around the campus.

Any thoughts?

4. OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
10435350.jpg

Just outside of Ohio Stadium sits countless Ohio State tents and flags among a sea of Buckeye red. Ohio State fans don’t hold back either, painting their faces, throwing on iconic Buckeye gear and, of course, celebrating their Buckeyes. This is one of the biggest crowds in the sport and it shows on gameday. Things will be full and rowdy again in 2021.
