If you're a projected round one.. I don't think you make this decision... too much at risk

The college team fans may be ecstatic.. but how many times has this paid off for a non-QB? Did the teams really have that phenom season when they stayed back

Over the long haul (next 5 yrs) maybe it balances out for the kid.. dunno

It's not like I don't think he's going to be happy seeing Spence with another year under his belt... he should have learned that back in Nov.. give Spence another year in the weight room... and Lewan is going to wish he made the move

That's the main thing I want to see. I swear he averaged multiple penalties a game.


I also think he said during his presser that he was going to, or he already had and insurance policy on himself in case he got injured. Whatever that means.

i hear you but maybe the DL had the game of his life i dont know... but hes a great o-lineman and if he wore your colors we wouldnt even be talking about this...

Regardless of what colors he wears... does he or any scUM fan really believe that scUM will be in the discussion of NC come end of this year? If not, he needs to take the money.. if you believe you will, well... I'll bite my tongue here

I recently read a Sports Illustrated article by one of their draft guys in which Lewan was referred to as not an elite left tackle. So pardon me if I don't agree with your assessment that Lewan's, in your words, great. After all, he does wear your team's colors.

Maybe it's because the Browns line is halfway decent now unlike the Couch era, but I think if you had put Manning in Cleveland this past season, let him call the plays, and used the Weeden pick on a guard or pass rusher the Browns would have gone as far in the playoffs as the Broncos did with Manning.

I think you have to have a halfway decent OL in order for a QB to be great, but a great QB can make an average OL look good. If an OL sucks no QB will look good.

The most notorious NFL draft predictors rate him highly... "great" is problematic.. cuz Jake Long was great.. and Tony Mandarich was great.. Robert Gallery was great... Steve Emtman was great.. and Courtney Brown was great...

Put Matt Ryan in Cleveland and the Browns are in the playoffs. Because our line hasn't sucked for sometime now.
