I believe that graduates can leave at any time.

It's impressive that he graduated in 3+ years, etc. He wasn't very likely to play much in 2024 either. I wish him well.

Sam Hart announced Tuesday he plans to move on as a graduate transfer this spring. The transfer portal for the winter closed on Jan. 2, however, Hart specified that he was making an early declaration for the window that opens after spring practices.

That is a weird lol.

I get it he graduated and barely plays. I just thought everyone was required to do it in the window unless their coach leaves

Correct. Pete Nakos (On3) posted about Auburn safety grad-transfer, explaining they can enter whenever they want as graduates.
