I actually have never spent much time in this forum, but now I feel like I should have been spending all of my time here over the years. Transitioning to a new job working predominantly on a PC has really been causing me a lot of headache as of late. I would be blessed if anyone around here can help me with the following problems....

I have Windows 2000 on my home PC and Windows XP on the laptop...

1. I have received a new POP email acct. Not only can I not get it to work through outlook express, but I can not get my own email to work through express. This is the error messages I receive (Fwiw) I do not know how the username/password could be incorrect. They gave it to me)....

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pop30.blank.com', Server: 'relayhost.blank.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 70.97.79.25 (70.97.79.25:25), connect error 10060', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop30.blank.com', Server: 'pop30.blank.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

2. I installed a new Video Card/Graphics card. Since the switch the windows/resolution of my screen are all huge. It is really frustrating having to scroll right or left to read the recruiting updates...lol. I can not find anywhere to change these settings. It is a NVIDIA NView card.

Any tips/suggestions from any of the PC wiz's (Or 12 year olds that have more PC savvy than a dinosaur like myself) would be greatly appreciated.

when you set up your email account did you use the wizard and if so did you type in something like "mail.yourISp.com" for both sending and receiving mail?
For number two try right clicking on the screen and then properties to get to appearance and you can change the window size there I think

For the video card, it sounds like you might not have the drivers installed. If it came with a CD, try running the setup on it. Otherwise you can find the drivers on nvidia's website.

For the e-mail, check the website of your ISP. they usually post configuration instructions for different e-mail clients.

Judging by the error message, it sounds as if you either need to use your full email address as the username, or make sure that you have "my server requires authentication" checkmarked at the bottom in outlook express. Certain mail servers are configured to keep people from outside ISP's from logging in to the smtp server, to prevent mail relaying.
