TenneCheat VolunTears (but..but..but.. we're good at baseball)

They fucked themselves royally but not putting a succession plan in place around 2005 when it was obvious Phat Phil was losing it. Following that up with the gut punch that was Kiffin-Dooley, and tennessee football is pretty much irreperably damaged.

I ran into Fulmer at a charity golf tournament about a month after he was ousted. Some senile and socially oblivious old bat made a joke about him not being able to afford to play in the tournament due to his unemployment. I was standing right next to her and couldn't believe what she said. It was not taken well. Of course, little did she know, but UT would continue to pay Fulmer handsomely for years to come.

I said it then and I say it now...Butchie the Clown was a bad hire for UT...he's a clown and the UT job was, is and always will be too big for him. The success he's had has been a direct result of riding Brian Kelly's coat tails at Central SUN and then at Cincinnati. he plays well in homes because he has a buzz cut and he says all the right 'rah rah' things but x's and o's and game day management are horrendous.

That much is becoming blindingly obvious to even the biggest Vol homers. Not going for 2 on that TD that put them up two scores in the 4th Q was one of the most egregious coaching errors I've seen in a loooooooooooong time. The guy just gets that deer in the headlights look when the pressure is on.
