Terrell Lewis (LB Los Angeles Rams)

Too bad that his commitment most likely took us out of the Josh King running due to saving one spot for Bosa. I doubt King will be in play. Same goes for Auston Robertson. Although, I wonder if he would be back in play due to his good friend Austin Mack.

Edit: One last name that I'm not sure if this would do anything for is Prince Sammons. Not sure if they would take him though since he's hard to project at DE vs OT.

Edit 2: I also wouldn't be shocked if they shut down DE recruiting if they can't get one of the MSU guys. With Hubbard now at DE and Rashod Berry most likely making the move, with the other 2 DEs we have depth isn't an issue.

Will the #Buckeyes try to add another DE in Hall’s place? I’m told no - more in the Hurry Up at 745pm.

My crystal ball for Terrell Hall has flipped to #Bama and that’s where it will stay.

Good luck Terrell. You committed when you knew and you decimmetted when you knew. Better now than 2 days before signing day, I suppose, for both sides. Ohio state needs more top DT's. I would love to see still two more interior defensive linemen but definitely one run stuffer. You can't have a great defense without one.

Mind you, Alabama has SO Da'Shawn Hand at strong side DE (former #1 DE in country coming out of HS) and JR Johnathan Allen at weak side DE (former #1 OLB in country coming out of HS). He'll have as good, if not better, competition at Alabama as he would at Ohio State, so I think the competition aspect is a moot point. If he chooses there (or somewhere else), it was a better fit for him than Ohio State... period. Just feel like it's a shame Alabama was somehow able to get into his ear and negative recruit the crap out of us (gotta assume that took place, knowing the team, conference, and coaching staff), because he's going to be a special one at the next level. A QB's nightmare.

Good luck to Terrell on his decision. Still hope to see you in S&G someday, but if not, you were a class act and Buckeye Nation wishes you well.

We hardly knew ye.... Agree with the sentiment mentioned everywhere else. He saw the writing on the wall and the constant flirting with bama didn't help the situation. My opinion is we put our eggs in the DT basket from here on out... Although I'm still not convinced our depth there is as bad as what we hear.... Kind of like the "clown show" receiving corps of yesteryear. Best of luck to the kid.

I don't agree with the fact that Alabama is so much better at end than us, tho, we have quite a bit of talent ourselves. They may have bigger eaters, but not better motors.

Hall visits Bama on July 13.

Hall visits Ohio State on July 24 for Friday Night Lights, during which time he does something which the coaches really don't like (as reported by Birm).

Hall decommits from Ohio State and names Alabama and Ole Miss as the top schools in the mix a week later.

Not to be that guy, but it doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to figure out what he was doing during Friday Night Lights that alienated the OSU coaches to the point they won't even be pursuing him any more.

The OSU depth chart is a factor, Alabama hiring Aazaar Abdul-Rahim (DC area coach who Hall apparently has a close connection with) is a factor, but any time Ole Miss miraculously jumps into the mix the writing is kinda on the wall as to what else might be a factor in the recruitment.

Maybe my imagination isn't very good, but you're really not suggesting that he was asking for money were you? If so...

I'm suggesting he was looking for a comparable experience as the one he found down south, or at least was extolling the virtues of southern trips to other players.

People are free to draw from that what they will.

I can't draw a stick man. I'm just not much of an artist. But I can draw up the 85 yards through the heart of the south play. I can draw the NC trophy pretty well too.

Good luck TH.

Best of luck Terrell... I was looking forward to seeing him as a Buckeye. But I can say I feel like he has a bit of an inferiority complex. More worried about what everyone thinks of about him, then just keeping his head down and going to work. Wouldn't be shocked if another school got in his head and convinced him that he was a secondary recruit to OSU with their prize local kid and star recruit. He was getting high acclaims, but it never seemed like enough for him.

Actually their depth chart looks much more favorable than ours, even though their base is a 3-4. They only had 13 DL listed on their roster and only 3 DE's. When Hall arrives Hand will be the youngest DE on the roster entering his Junior year and Hall probably already has a leg up on Kareem, the only other DE in the class. Honestly competition should never scare a recruit away, especially for as physically gifted as he is. I don't think this battle is over unless the staff chooses to stop pursuing. I just think the playing field is all even right now.
