Terrell Owens (official thread of nonsense)

The Eagles are done, w/ Owens out, McNabb hurt and their D not being able to stop the run they will not even make the play-offs. I will be interested to see if he is "Keyshawned" for the rest of the year or if Owens is back in a week or two.

I would bet your right, but if he's out 2 weeks and they lose to Wash. and Dallas they are done. Would be 4-5 and last in their division. The only hope at the play-offs is a WC and they would have to win out to get it IMO. I have a ?, would anyone want T.O. on their favorite team? I'm a huge Falcon fan and as much as we need a big play WR I wouldn't want him, too much drama.

yeah, the Falcons don't need him. After 2 games with Vick failing (as typical for him) to get him the ball, TO would blow up. </p>It's too bad he didn't end up with the Ravens. If TO thinks McNabb is no good, imagine what he would have thought of Boller.

If Andy Reid wants to maintain any kind of credibility as a head coach, T.O. cannot play for him again. Any GM thinking of trading for him, you would have to weigh his abilities against the TOTAL liability he is in the locker room. I'll never understand why someone with his tremendous physical attributes can't just shut the fuck up and play. He is a tumbling, tumbling dickweed.

I've seen 6 features on his suspension on ESPN, and still no word on what he actually said.

It was all of his comments on McNabb and the team not recognizing his 100th TD. He was supposed to apologize to all involved but only apologized to the media. So they suspended him for a maximum of 4 games unless he is released or put on IR.

oh. well I guess they showed that part, and didn't feel the need to have their analysts explain why he was suspended.

Philly is done. They already were gonna need a lot of good breaks to have a shot at teh playoffs in their tough division. But now they are completely done IMO.

Here's a cut & paste of some of the comments currently in play (if they had Favre instead of McNabb they'd be undefeated, should have been recognized for his 100th TD are the two big ones).

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - Terrell Owens' apology was not enough.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Saturday that Owens has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

Perhaps the NFL's best wide receiver, Owens has been a major headache off the field for the Eagles. On Thursday, he created some more angst with another verbal jab at Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb and criticisms of the organization.

In an interview with ESPN.com contributor Graham Bensinger, Owens agreed with ESPN analyst Michael Irvin's assessment that the Eagles (4-3) would be undefeated if Brett Favre was their quarterback.

"That's a good assessment," Owens said when asked by Bensinger if he agreed with Irvin's opinion. "I would agree with that, just with what (Favre) brings to the table."

In the interview, Owens also ripped the organization for not acknowledging his 100th career touchdown pass in the Eagles' home win over San Diego on October 23.

"They claim to be first class and the best organization. It's an embarrassment," Owens said in the ESPN.com interview. "It just shows a lack of class they have."

Owens apologized for those remarks on Friday, reading a brief statement at a news conference.

"I had an opportunity to talk with the organization this (Friday) morning and I've been told that the team does not recognize individual achievements," Owens said. "It was brought to my attention that I offended the organization and my teammates. Therefore, I'd like to apologize for any derogatory comments toward them."
