Game Thread That Team Up North @ Ohio State - 11/24/18, The '62' Game, Revenge Revoked

A reporter for the Detroit Free Press reports that Team doctor for TSUN acknowledged that the majority of injuries experienced by their players yesterday revolved mostly around menstrual cramps. Upon hearing the news Coach Harbaugh said, "That's on me. I take full responsibility for that and I'm going to go back to the drawing board to make sure that never happens again."

Exactly.

I think the application of the targeting rule has been poor and I think they need to look into the yellow card/red card concept to make it a better rule BUT when you go back and watch games from 10-15 years ago the number of shots to the head have dramatically decreased. Players have absolutely gotten the message and have been coached to avoid it so all in all, I like the rule.

That garbage Saturday takes all that and throws it out the window. They acted like they couldn't be bothered to call a blatant late hit to the head when the defender doubled down and used his helmet as a weapon.

The volume of PI calls was bad, most of them were ticky tack but you can always argue that nonsense.

The targeting miss is the one I want to see the B1G offices formally recognize the error and punish the officials for being that inept.

You said it - I just watched the 2006 version of the game... Man did Troy take some big hits that would have been called for Roughing these days.. Not talking about the obvious Crable hit that turned the game but regular pocket passes, Henne(the Butch) took a couple also..

I'm adding the 13 men on defense no call to my list of shit people should be banned from officiating over.

That happened in the first half when the game was still very much undecided. Major momentum swing for them holding OSU to a FG.

Unreal that goes unnoticed, well let me say uncalled. I have strong feelings that the ref crew knew which team had the better CFP chance going into The Game.

the play right before half where they forced Webber out at the 1

I think I saw someone had it on Twitter with a screen cap
I'll have to check it out on tonights re-watch.

They got 2 or 3 extremely generous spots for first downs early in the game. I thought the same thing as you......this crew knows which team has a better shot at the playoffs. Good thing for us we took that decision out of their hands.
