The Buckeye Battle Cry #16 Race Car Takes 1st Place

Back in February, I told everyone about a joint venture my family’s race car team, and The Buckeye Battle Cry was doing for 2016.
Well we haven’t had the best weather this April here in Ohio so we’ve only been able to race a couple of times. One of those times was this past Friday night at 250 Speedway in Cadiz, Ohio. 250 Speedway is a 3/8 mile dirt track. Cadiz, Ohio is in the eastern part of Ohio very close to Wheeling, WV.
This past Friday night was their opening race night and our race team called Fat Guy Racing went down to the track for the first time. The #16 Buckeye Battle Cry sponsored Mod Lite driven by Allen Dillenger won the heat race and was poised to take the feature.
The featured started out bad as 2 Mod Lites collided on the backstretch causing both to flip in the air several times. The good part is both drivers walked way from the horrific crash.
That didn’t stop the #16 Mod Lite from going on and wining the Feature event in front of a packed crowd. The other 2 Fat Guy racing cars took 4th and 6th in the Feature which fellow Buckeye Battle Cry writer Ken Kohl said “Great! It sounds like the Buckeyes in this year’s NFL Draft; grabbing all the high spots :)”
It was an exciting weekend for all Buckeye fans and fans of The Buckeye Battle Cry. As Zeke Elliot, Joey Bosa, and Eli Apple was being drafted in the top 10, Fat Guy Racing and The Buckeye Battle Cry were taking all the top 10 spots in the Feature Event at 250 Speedway.
Congrats to all the Ohio State players who got drafted this weekend!
