So far this year Coach Meyer has proven that he is willing to gamble on 4th down. I think we went for it on 4th down about 5 times against CAL and were successful each time. As a matter of fact I can only think of one time in the past three games that we were not successful on 4th down and that was against Buffalo. Maybe there was one other fail on 4th but I cannot remember. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Point: Our success rate on 4th downs has to be off the charts! I think it reveals the high degree of confidence that Urban has in the OL that they can get the tough yards when needed. I would imagine this will only increase with the addition of HYDE in the backfield.

15-0 and counting....

Ohio State is 6 out of 8 for a .750 pct, which is 18th overall in FBS.

Going through the numbers, only three teams have attempted more 4th down conversions (Miss St, Army, Idaho) and another five teams have attempted as many (Ole Miss, South Carolina, UNLV, Indiana, South Fla.). No teams out of the top 16 in attempts has as good a success rate as OSU's .750.
