THE GAME, tOSU at tCun, Sat. 11/25, 12pm ET, FOX

Actually this was the best game of the last 3 against them. And the one without cheating. I think...
Indeed if anyone thinks cheating didn't matter ignore the D and look at the difference in the O the last 3 games and look at what Stroud is doing in the pros. A game like this is what we were robbed of the last 2 years. A game down to the final drive

But I won't because I'm tired of seeing McCord get shat on for things out of his control by people who don't know a goddamn thing.

First of all, I never said mccord sucks.

Get your panties out of a bunch. I know plenty.

He missed a wide-open fleming multiple times. He underthrew cade on an easy would be TD early. The first pick was egregious. The loft down the seem to a wide open egbuka was absurdly late.

Was he garbage? No

Was he good enough to win? No

My biggest gripe with this team is the fact that Ryan Day still calls the offense… and it is very vanilla. He thinks his 4-5 stars will win straight up. He never calls anything that resembles a trick play. Never! No end around, flea flickers half back passes, nothing! Where was the misdirection run McCord one direction, throw back to Henderson? He ran that play when Henderson was a frosh like 3 times. He is an NFL coach, and it shows.

The sad thing is that I think we played our best. Our best just isn't that great. This was like a greatest hits of 2023 OSU problems:

- When the OL fails, it fails HARD.
- McCord craps himself under pressure.
- Defense limits big plays but can't get off the field.
- Other team busts out every trick in their book while Ryan Day calls a scared, weak game.
- Linebackers are slow in coverage and bite on any kind of playaction because of it.
- DEs can't generate any sort of pressure without breaking contain.
- Special teams is a disaster.

I don't know what the problem is. I don't know if it's the players or Day being passive, Larry Johnson losing a step, Parker Fleming's extra chromosome. I don't know. But something has to be changed here.

I lean toward just letting Day go. I don't give a shit if you have confidence in your pressers or when you get off the bus or when you walk onto the field if you're going to call a game like a pussy either way.
Nope.

We didn’t play anywhere our best.

I’ll give the idiots seeking Ryan Days head this…

Once again we just couldn’t stay out of our own way.

No shit go back and see what I said pre game.

I said this would happen and here we are.

The only gripe I have?

If someone is available like Caleb Williams… you go get them.

Kyle I’m sure will be OK next year but Ok doesn’t win it

This is the mentality that accepts mediocrity. It’s like Reds Fans who loved Duh-Sty Baker.

Can't tell if serious.....

Ryan Day has shown the ability to make staff changes MID SEASON!! How often do you hear of that happening? He has no issues making moves, meanwhile you saw Lincoln Reilly shit the bed by holding onto his Alex Grinch teddy bear. We had the #2 defense in the country and they played pretty damn well, more than good enough to win today.

He struggled with the same things early in the year as he did today. And he wasn't awesome, late throws, inaccurate throws, bad decisions, wide open receivers missed. He wasn't quite a walking disaster but it's the same stuff all year.
I agree. I’m not trying to pile on the kid, but he threw bad passes all day and missed reads in a fairly clean pocket. Other than the dropped pass by Ebuka, he was not on target. Our FG in the 1st half really should have been a TD. He underthrew stover when if he threw it towards the endzone it might have been a TD instead of a PBU and a possible INT. He also missed Julian in the corner on the previous play in that drive…..
