Game Thread THE GAME: tOSU at TSUN, Nov 30 @ 12p ET, ABC

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it just occurred to me that:

-MSU has a lock on the Rose Bowl. If tOSU wins, they go to the NCG and MSU heads to the Rosebowl (After a Wisky loss). If MSU wins, they head to the Rose Bowl and the S&G will most likely get a slot to an at large BCS Bowl game.

You're assuming MSU doesn't free fall for losing. That's a lousy proposition given the rules about ranking B1G teams. Upsets = exposed, the loser freefalls and the winner was just lucky. Quality loss = drop 6-12 spots.

Meanwhile in the SEC you drop a few spots for losing and the winner shoots up the polls.

Who else is going to fill that spot? Rose Bowl selection committee is usually very partial to a Pac 10/B1G match up. Who else is gonna take their place?

Could you direct me to all of these great 2013 CFB teams unworthy of the ridicule you save for your team?

I don't think OSU is great and was fine with their ranking all year. We're just learning that nearly everyone else is overrated too and FSU has only been challenged by the annually inflated ACC.
Ridicule? Get real. I was simply posting a fact. If you don't like facts, then I maybe we shouldn't have a discussion.

For years, Buckeye fans laughed at Boise State for running up great records against a bunch of nobodies. Now, thanks to our wonderful brethren in the Big Ten, we are Boise State.

Maybe Ohio State is a great team, absolutely or relatively. Maybe they are not. We may never know, because the Buckeyes play the dregs of the college football world.

Oh my god. Guys! It's the mothership. They've got to this one too.

So at what point in this discussion will you bother to answer the first sentence, Jeff? Who are these "great" teams? Because I'm unsure if I see any, and I certainly don't see more than one.

Maybe Delaney shouldn't have told ESPN to shove their insulting deal and then they could be protected by Disney like the mediocre ACC.

The league perception noise is quite overstated (despite the frequency of it in the media). OSU has an OSU problem. THEY stunk it up in the desert (and followed it up with memorable losses to LSU, USC & Texas). They weren't that great early this year. Had THEY been better, then they could get the FSU treatment, fanfare for beating up on a terrible conference with a paper tiger or two.

I'm accepting the reality that we've made several teams look like they came to play. Their 41 points was less about them being good and more about us being less than good.
I'm not talking about several games OSU has played here. This game, the opponent had a good offensive performance, and UM's recent offensive performances prior to this game shouldn't mean anything in evaluating OSU's defense in this game because they clearly are a team that plays at completely different levels offensively one week to the next.

Well... unless FSU plays Mizzou. Or last year... issues aside we ccould have played ATM.

Both miraculously awesome their first years in the sec

No, if you play nobody you can't claim to be somebody. Maybe you should have read my post before responding.

If you want people to read your posts, perhaps you should stop with the insinuations that the B10 is comparable to the Mountain West conference. I might be crazy, but generally those types of comparisons don't add to your credibility.
