The Many Troubles of Marcus Vick (merged)

Did some of you use names like this regarding Robert Reynolds when he tried choking somebody?

Not on this board, but we don't trash our players on this board. I thought Rob should have been suspended for the rest of the year after his stunt. I think kicking him off the team might have been a little severe, but if that was what JT would have done, I would not have been very upset. I support Rob Reynolds because he is still a former buckeye, but he acted like a thug that day, and did serious harm to the reputation of the university.

One major distinction you have not mentioned is that Rob Reynolds acted like a thug once. Marcus Vick has acted like a thug many times. Marcus Vick IS a thug. That is the main difference to me.

An excellent point. This was a first offense for Rob Reynolds. Vick is a repeat offender. We're seeing a comparison between apples and oranges here.

Havent seen this posted here, but I know their are alot of people here that hate Va Tach so here it is.

http://media.putfile.com/VT-THUG-1

Vick said it was an accident(despite the fact that he distinctly looked down), and that he apologized to Dumervil after the game(despite the fact that Dumervil said that he didnt.) Vick has been in trouble off the field drinking with underage girls, and on the field, flicking of the WVU crowd, and this stuff right here. How much can a guy get away with??? :shake:

Don't forget the marijuanna charges.

I actually got into an argument with a buddy of mine that Troy Smith was by far better than Marcus Vick. All I really needed to do was shut up, and wait for Vick to prove me right.

You just get the feeling that this is going to end badly.

I have had the same argument, and I don't think it is even close. Once I showed the stats, it was over. But still, when I brought it up, my buddy had a blank look on his face as if to say, "You are an idiot." I don't think it should be a debate at all.

The Vick incident has absolutely nothing to do with the Rob Reynolds incident and I don't see the relevance.

Anyone who has played knows that abuse takes place during tackles and in pile ups; it's wrong but it happens routinely. Reynolds behavior was particularly disturbing on the day. Discussion on BP was NOT supportive of Reynolds behavior and he was penalized.

Vick's behavior, as other posters have noted, is consistent with a pattern of behavior. His lie about apologizing further illustrates that he believes he is above the rules that govern player, and in fact normal, behavior.

He is lucky to have avoided prison time already and might just find that his next off-season infraction could be his last. He says he seeks "polish" next year, looks like it might just be Brasso.
