I saw two Orange Bowl officials at the September game. They said they were there to "scout out the loser, the winner was going to Pasadena".

Is this true or are you joking scoots...If true, that is great...I love it...

Strange, I thought the national title game was on October 15 in South Bend this year. At least that is what I got from ESPiN.

Since Ohio State was the only team to hold Texas to under 40 points (and 30) in a game, I think we should claim maybe 1% of the championship.

You can have another 1% and oOSU will take 1% as OSU's were the only teams to take a lead on Texas at halftime.

if mich doesn't pull it out vs. psu does texas even make the MNC or is the JoPa love fest and desire to send him out with a championship too much for the horns to overcome.

I still think it would have been USC/Texas.

Yeah, I don't think this particular PSU team would have jumped you if they had beaten scUM and remained undefeated...I think it was clear most of the year who should play in the Rose Bowl...JMHO

Ugh. It would have been like last year's national championship game and would have continued to perpetuate the myth that USC was invincible, incapable of losing. In the mean time, Texas would have gotten the shaft, ala Auburn, and would have ended up undefeated without anything to show for it.

Who knew Llllllloyd's whining would have had such an incredible impact on the season? Just goes to show that his simpering incompetence is good for all of college football, not just good for OSU.
