The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Absolutely.

OSU and, to be fair, ND both have scalps so far in terms of SOS.

UGA and Clemson have nothing to warrant their position except ESPN eye test bullshit
Clemson doesn't even pass the eye test. They looked like ass against A&M and Syracuse.

A lot of people just think Dabo is dreamy for whatever dumb fucking reason.

AP Poll Summary:
Bama has most of the 1st place votes
90 pt drop to UGA
Only 10 pt drop to OSU so thought to be equal.
77 pt drop to Clemson
Clemson LSU ND and Sooners all very close to each other as 'next best'.
Then a 191 pt gap before Auburn WVU UDub and PSU all very close together.
Then the numbers start to drop pretty fast.

As long as tOSU can win out and get the 2nd or 3rd spot in the playoff I will be more than happy to see ND as the first round matchup. Just take care of the business that we should take care of and everything will work itself out. An undefeated B1G champ will never get left out. Laying a stinker to Iowa gets you left out.

Lots of football left to be played of course, but at this point, it looks like they've all but given 2 of the 4 spots to the SEC (Bama, Georgia & LSU all in the top 5, Auburn lingering in the top 10.) That'll leave tOSU, Oklahoma, ND, Clemson, WVU, Washington, PSU to fight it out for the other 2 spots. Literally no margin for error this year, or so it seems.....

That's the AP and Coaches poll. The CFP poll is what matters, the other two are really more or less meaningless anymore.

Not that the CFP will be any better...

Bama & LSU have a head to head still to come which will knock the loser
Georgia will have the CCG against one of those 2.

Still a heck of a lot of season to make this statement

And if LSU knocks Bammer off they sit at home while the CCG takes place and get in regardless.

Again.

Yup. You can see it forming already.

Better yet -

I think 4 1-loss SECSECSEC teams is still possible.

Bama ---> Loses to Auburn, Beats LSU
Auburn ---> Loses to LSU, beats Bama
LSU ---> Loses to Bama, Beats Auburn
UGA ---> Loses SECSECSEC Championship against the SEC west winner

ESECPN wet dream right there.

Not to go #WellActually but... Well Actually, Auburn plays Georgia every year as well, which is missing from your scenario. And if I remember correctly, LSU has Georgia TY as well.
