Is going to a New Year's Six Bowl and winning better than being a losing CFP team?
Is it better for recruiting to be seen winning your bowl game than losing in a Playoff game? It seems to me being seen winning is always better than losing?

That' a losers mentality most of our fans seem to show since 2016. We are scared CLemson will happen again so we'd rather beat a mediocre Pac12 team... I'm sorry but give me a chance at the show everytime. Doesn't seem to hurt OU or Clemson when Bama wins it all

GA has a strength of schedule rating above ours (and whether we like it or not, that's one of the criteria...... reality) and hasn't struggled with crap teams.
Michigan has a nice strength of schedule. Problem is UGA and UM both got beaten by the high end teams on their schedule. (3/4 of them in blowout fashion)

What the first round of the playoff should look like.

8) Washington @ 1) Alabama
5) UGA @ 4) Okie

6) Ohio State @ 3) Domer
7)UCF @ 2) Clemson

I could go for that. So Semis would probably look like

1 Bama vs 4 Okie in Dallas
2 Clemson vs 6 Ohio State in Miami

Huskies in Tuscaloosa would be brutal.

Dawgs in Norman would be fun to watch.

Scarlet and Grey invadr South Bend.

UCF gets to learn what real football on the road can be.

Imagine this, for this season:

OSU cruises through the year, winning all their games. Their only close call is in the B1G championship game, but they win.

OU, ND, and Clemson have the exact same year they've had in reality.

But in the SEC, Bama is struggling a bit. They have some very close games against lesser SEC opponents, but they win. After they lose big, in a shocker against Mississippi, they drop in the rankings. LSU, after an early loss against a highly ranked team, does better than Bama against SEC opponents, and moves to #4. For the first time in years, LSU is favored to win against Bama. But Bama blows them out, 62 - 39. They go on to win the SEC championship, a solid win against a UGA team that's had a tough year and is ranked 21.

Does Bama, the SEC champ get left out? Of course not. Bye, bye, OU. We'd hear about how tough the SEC is, how all the teams are obviously good enough to beat up on each other on any given day, how Bama has proven itself, redeemed itself in blowing out #4 ranked LSU.

And that's what rankles.
