Mili, I mentioned that quote because it seems to have attained a life of it's own. I probably shouldn't have posted along with a quote from computerbuck. One was deserving of ridicule, yours is not. I actually tend to agree that Gamble didn't distinguish himself enough to warrent a first round pick with his play last season. The only way to put him in the first round (IMO) is based on potential. That wouldn't be my basis for choosing, but I'm not in that position and strange things happen when teams see potential. On a related note, a recent sports site progected Gamble at #52 (or so) overall. Seems like his workout didn't help his status in their eyes.

EDIT: Found it. It's the USAToday and they are rating him 58. I guess it's really a ranking and not a projected draft position.

CB Chris Gamble visited the Pittsburgh Steelers today, likely indicating that Gamble might slide into the second round. The Steelers seem to be targetting wide receivers and cornerbacks with their second round pick.
