I actually had to go on a field trip to the Corning factory as a kid.

That was a hoot

My old man was an avid collector of art glass objects and also a glass artist of no reknown. (But actually did some pretty pricey private commission shit). I been in some glass factories bruh.

Well, coincidentally...

Today would have been his 75th birthday.

We had a complicated relationship to say the least. I have regrets about it as I get older.

He had a lot of really complicated shit to resolve, that I didn't understand until it was too late. He could have been better too.

It was up there with the field trip to watch Gahndi on my list of “you can’t really blame me for being like this, look what the adults did to me when I was a kid” excuses.
