I was in Ann Arbor a week ago recruiting for summer interns. During the greet and meet the night before the interviews talk naturally turned to sports and how TSUN is so great. Naturally some of the potential interns asked me how were the athletic programs at my alma mater. Not bad, I say...'cause I went to The Ohio State University.
One of the students went on to say that we went 12-0 because we had an easy schedule. My retort was "I only have two facts for you. Fact #1 We beat your ass to finish undefeated and, #2 App State....

You could have heard a pin drop. The only sound you heard was the OSU undergrad who is at TSUN to get her MBA snicker.....

God, I really hate that school and their arrogrant asses....

:slappy:

Thanks, I needed that!

Fuck em. In Cbus this is a blowout win. In the B1G tourney it's an easy win. Who cares what happens up on whore island where the stripes calling the game are blinded by the surrounding glow of highlighter yellow. They know they didn't deserve that win. And we'll all remember come tourney time.

Michigan needed a great 3-point night to win this, plus several contact plays with no calls. They won it though, and there is no way that tOSU gets the foul call late on Crafts drive after the no-call on Craft's potential flagrant (which could have gone either direction).

All In all

On the road. Hardaway with a career night , 6-9 on the road. Sketchy refs

This LaQuinton Ross , Stay for awhile. Matta keep him In the game. Honestly..... I'm not even a fan with the defense for offense subs late In the game

Q showed up big time.

If this Amir keeps progressing, March is going to be VERY interesting.

Sam with Thompson.

Basically matta is rotating 8 and he could easily get to 10 contributors next season at the earliest - maybe 9 this year if Trey gets some more time.

I hope the Buckeyes left the court with their head held high tonight. Despite a losing effort, this was probably the best I've seen them play all year.

Michigan was hitting 3s from the damn parking lot yet they only won by two with some VERY questionable officiating towards the end.

I'm starting to believe this team can get back to the Final Four.

Biggest issue I saw (as did many others) was getting away from DT in overtime. Craft cannot take the last two shots in the game (both blocked, albeit with contact). There was enough time in both occasions for a play to develop, particularly in the next-to-last possession.

Best game I've seen OSU play all year. Unfortunately it was the worst game I have ever seen Lenzelle Smith play. Just terrible turnovers all over the court.

I have no idea why Matta chose to put Q on the bench to start overtime. At one point in overtime we only had 3 shots with 58 seconds to go in the 5 minute period. Think about that for a second.

With Amir growing every game I really think we can afford to allow Q to play starters minutes with Sam Thopmson, Craft, Williams, and a much improved Thomas picking up the slack.

Q is the answer to how far we go in the tournament. He takes massive amounts of pressure off this team on the offensive end.

This reminds me quite a bit of last year.

Smoke them in Cbus, they need a miracle to win by the skin of their nose in AA, coach runs his cockholster and reaps it in the tourney.

Yep...the first good team they play in the tourney where their miracle ass 3s don't fall and they are toast. Probably around the sweet 16 or so, but the right matchup in the 2nd round will do it.

I am so proud of our boys tonight! They didnt get the W but they played their asses off on both ends of the court. Guys stepping up and going end to end. That is all anyone can ask of them regardless of the outcome.

Bravo Buckeyes on the road. No need to get into the shoulda woulda coulda. If they are really turning the corner, that's all I need to say.

Indiana is not a good matchup for us on paper though so we'll see how they come back from tonight.
