Time for a new name
TP looks tiny compared to now in the game preview picture. almost unreal..

2 things we need to get better on, defensively, that we have been lagging all season long:
- Protecting against the intermediate pass routes (Jacory Harris and Eastern scUM picked us apart there)
- Sacks. We are getting great turnover action but we are struggling to put the QB on his butt.
I have a feeling we are going to tear Illinois a new one this week. I think our boys were almost lulling through the OOC games, with them all being at home and all but one being a pasty with zero chance of a win. Lets get it going boys!

Good Call Elephant..With a mobile QB and Rushing attack that has to be respected I think Illinois will try to take advantage of PA, but their QB has to be able to make the throws.

I am with you on this one. Our secondary may have to pick it up abit. I think they will be tested against Illinois.

I know this isn't the IU thread, and in all likelihood, controlling the line of scrimmage can drastically change a qb's efficiency. Just saying. A little test this weekend wouldn't be a bad thing at all, imo.

I know all the reasons OSU should roll Illinois but something's not right. I can't put my finger on it but I've had a weird vibe about this game all week so I go and check the line movement. Sure enough the action is over 70% on OSU to cover but the line is dropping. Not a good sign.
Hopefully this is all much ado about nothing but I won't be surprised to see a closer than anticipated game if not a full blown nail biter. I'm going to try and put the whammy on Illinois with a bet. Lets hope I lose it.

Jaxbuck, it's hard to post a comment while staring at your avatar but I'll try....
What I want: OSU 45, Ill 6. Boom and Zoom Bloom and Posey gets four this week, trying to keep up with Sanzo. 5 sacks, 3 picks by the D.
What we will probably get: OSU 34, Illinois 30, after leading 34-17 in the middle of the 4th quarter.
Ugh...
I hope it's closer to the 45-6. I hope Illinois gets exposed, and the cameras go back and forth between the worried face of Ron Zook and the angry face of the Athletic Director when we go to half time up 35-0.
In all seriousness --- this is a BIGGGG game. First Road game, First Big Ten game, 2nd ranked and everybody's talkin' national championship. Jeez it gives me the runs just thinking about it.

This game hasn't bothered me in the least. I just don't see Illinois putting up points against a motivated Ohio State defense tomorrow. 31-10 seems about right to me.
