Busing to Indianapolis to Bloomington

On Friday, the Buckeyes are busing to Indiana, as in the state, not the site of the game. Because of challenges in finding a hotel, they will stay outside Indianapolis, traveling the last 60 miles to Bloomington on Saturday afternoon.
Coming from Florida in the Southeastern Conference from 2005 to 2010, Meyer said his team faced similar situations in trips to Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State.
?It?s tough,? he said. ?I guess we have a helicopter (to scout the road between Indianapolis and Bloomington on Saturday) to make sure we get there on time. ? It?s a distraction, but worry about what you can worry about. So we?re fine.?

Couldn't find a hotel closer than Indianapolis??

One would think these types of reservations would have been made many moons ago.

It almost sounds like they found out the game was in Indiana last week and were scrambling to find a hotel.

There's a difference between can't and don't want to.

We are planning to get there about noon for some tailgating from the Cincy area. Anybody in here tailgating? Any particular lots we should try to park in to lessen the walking to good tailgate areas? We have a cooler with wheels on it, is that going to be a problem in Bloomington?

First off...there are cheap tickets on StubHub for this game, I called IU and got my tickets directly from them a few days ago, not sure if it's sold out since then. And if you don't like those options, there will be plenty of opprotunty to get tickets while down there, likely for cheap. So if you are a Buckeye fan, get your butt over there...it will be a blast! I am heading down early tomorrow morning. Got a hotel room a mile from the stadium all set up! I like the 8pm kickoff for a road game. It is good for the local economy too, because it forces a lot of people to spend a night there. Just another reason why the B1G needs to have more night games. I hope the night game brings more Buckeye fans to Bloomington than normal, instead of less! We need to make this our 9th home game!

As far as the game is concerned, I have little doubt we win, but I do think it will be more of a fun exciting game than people expect. I'm going with my best friend from high school, who is an IU grad, and he doesn't expect it to be close, none of their fans do.

I give them some credit offensively, and I think they make some big plays down field to keep it interesting. But on offense, we are the only ones that can stop ourselves. I don't think we will...but instead will roll. I think we've only kicked two field goals so far this year, and I think it stays that way. I don't expect our punt team on the field more than once or twice either.
