Game Thread tOSU at Miami FL, Sept 17, 7:30 pm ET, ESPN

I can't fucking wait until Saturday. I think our guys are so hyped right now and I'm really excited to see some high speed collisions!

Things I'll be looking for early.
1) Our defensive line- Are they winning this battle? I think that this is the most important area of this game, more so than our offensive line. If we can get pressure, we can fluster that Skinny Dude...and we all know how that turns out. I'd be shocked to see Nate Williams sitting this one out and I'm just super pumped to see Simon, Hankins, and Co., our there wrecking havoc.

2) Are we playing sound on special teams. KO coverage, punt coverage, FGs. Those are all things we've struggled with and Miami is poised to capitalize off of.

We do well in those two areas, and I think we win this game. Better yet, I KNOW we win this game, regardless of who our QB is.

Two great points. The special teams mistakes have to go NOW... That gave an 11 point swing to Toledo... 8 for the punt and 3 on a missed fg.

And have D lineman that can pressure without LB help is huge. it wasn't there on saturday and caused us to blitz. This opens the screens up big. Need LBs to be able to be free to sit for those because I expect Cryami to throw alotof them.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't TBDBITL only go to one away game a year, and seeing as we play at scUM this year, wouldn't that be the game they go to?

I think they always go to scUM when it's away and it's funded by the university, but any other away games they choose to go to must be funded through OSUMB themselves through donations, fundraisers, etc. SO, they may be going to another away game, just depends if they can get the $$.

Good call southcampus. Get well Nathan.

In the meantime, I can't help but think this is a HUGE loss for our D line. Nate seemed like our primary edge pass rusher and by primary, I mean only. I believe we have the best defensive staff in the country and we should be able to think something up to make up for his absence. Sabino blitzing more, stunting, etc. I'm just glad our staff has ample time prepare.

#Buckeye football news: Jordan Hall to get start at RB; Nate Williams likely out after having knee scoped.

Get better Nate

Did anyone watch Miami vs Maryland? I saw none of the game but from my understanding, Miami wasn't missing any O-linemen. How did their O-line perform?

Naryland's undersized dline was getting good penetration most of the game....a good amount of pressure on the QB....Miami's size prevailed here and there and allowed a good sized run to break loose....but they did very poor imo for what they have on the oline vs what Maryland has on the dline

Sucks to hear about Nate. Next man up though. It will obviously come down to O-Line & D-Line play. Protect Joe & Braxton and there's no doubt in my mind our receivers & TEs can get separation from their DBs & LBs. Their secondary against Maryland looked absolutely horrible. Jacory Harris nor Stephen Morris worry me. Put pressure on them & they're going to make mistakes....that showed last year.

And of course, getting Jordan & Travis back is HUGE.
