Game Thread tOSU at NW'ern, Oct 5, 8 ET, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

That has to be the most ridiculous back door cover I have ever seen!
That wasn't just a back door cover. That was a "back door of the barn that sits way back in the north 40" cover.

Great tenacity by the Buckeyes, and excellent poise as the game wound down, but honestly I don't think I want to see this team play any of the following in the final game of the year:

Oregon
Clemson
Stanford
Florida State

Notice Alabama isn't on this list ...

You forgot UGa....they'll score on UGa, but they won't stop that offense very often right at the moment. I think with a month to prepare them, UFM would have something special ready....

I'm still trying to decide how I feel about this game.

Early leader:
We turned the ball over three times, on the road, against a top-25 conference rival who played (seemingly) at or above their true potential after having a bye week to prepare -- and yet we won. That says very good things. We won (and covered the spread), on to the next one.

Other shoulder:
We turned the ball over three times against Northwestern, and continued to demonstrate a softness on D that will continue to trouble us this season -- but we won. On to the next one.

Either way, 18-0 and undefeated.

(Don't read this UNLESS you can do it in the voice of Cameron Frye from Ferris Bueller's Day Off):
Carlos Hyde, you're my hero.

(Bennett, Bosa, and Shazier are no slouches either).

I'd add Bama to that list as well. Their run game isn't what it used to be but their passing game is legit.

I feel like the Buckeyes would have a good shot with those teams though. I dunno, there's something special about this team imo. There aren't always fundamentally sound, they don't always execute the best, and they don't always look like world beaters. What they do though, is win.

I was really shocked with lack of use with Hyde in the first half, unless Meyer wanted to save him for the second half if he's more aware of what kind of injuries Hyde must be battling through. Both trenches played fantastically well against Northwestern. Bosa is improving and becoming a beast on the edge now.

Northwestern definitely missed the left tackle and their defensive tackles, but they surely schemed well and kick Ohio State's ass for the first half. We are fortunate enough to have that punt block for TD to make up for a couple of bad turnovers.
