Game Thread tOSU @ Minnesota, Nov 15th @ 12p ET, ABC/WatchESPN

I just don't think Urban will allow for OSU to be complacent. This has every excuse to be a trap game, but I see too many young players and the team and coaches as a whole know that we still have way too much to prove. Not just because of national perception, but to prove to themselves. I see too much talent for Minny to keep up with. So many weapons that if MsU couldn't slow them down, even with the weather how could Minny

And fwiw, how on earth did they only beat putrid Purdue by 1 and NW by 7?

For whatever reason (likely the lack of interesting noon games), I have watched them quite a bit this year. If they play to their capabilities (namely good QB play from Leidner), then they are a tough team. But they are wildly inconsistent...no excuse losing to Illinois and I honestly think they were capable of playing TCU much tougher than that. However, if we shut down Cobb, Leidner is going to struggle against our secondary with the way they are playing. My only real concern is that every team will give us their best shot and I expect to see the tough Gopher team, not the one that lost to Illinois and almost lost to Purdue/NW. Their best shot is better than most of the B1G's best shot at us.

But I agree with @pnuts34 , UFM is not going to let this teams focus slip and if we eliminate the special teams errors, then a curb-stomping might be on the horizon. A curb-stomping would go a long ways for us to move up in the rankings as well, so hopefully we keep the train rolling in that regard.

I am interested to see how our defense does this week because flat out there isn't a more one dimensional team on our schedule that these guys.

I will be honest i am NOT impressed at all with our run defense on the year. However in saying that we have yet to put 8-9 in the box to dare a team to throw and i feel we see that this game. Maxx Williams is a player but in the cold (it'll be 26 degrees as a high here in Minneapolis) against a good pass rushing team i don't see him being a big factor.

we have got to shut down Cobb at all costs and IMO we need a gameplan similar to the MSU offensive plan. This is a tough front 7 with a good offensive line. This game shouldn't be close to be honest but i feel it'll be much lower scoring than our last game.
