tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Saw this over on 11W. Puts in perspective the quality of QBs that OSU has signed(and will sign):
That trivia had me going back to look at those classes. For those interested:

  • Stroud (#29, 247 composite, #2 QB) in 2020
  • Ewers (#1, #1) in 2021
  • McCord (#49, #8) in 2021
  • Brown (#44, #5) in 2022
  • Kienholz (#138, #11) in 2023
  • Noland (#56, #6) in 2024
  • St. Clair (#35, #3) in 2025

This shows that you can get a quality OL in the portal. OSU just needs to attack the portal earlier
Like right now honestly. We got in too late on the top OL portal guys. We have to be proactive this year...I like our '24 OL class, but there are major holes on the OL coming up (potentially D. Jackson, for sure M Jones and Fryar). We have to get a couple of real quality portal guys at OL this year.

Standout recruits from the classes of 2024, 2025 and 2026 were in attendance and took in the win on Saturday, and you can see some of the prospects that made their way to attendance in the photo gallery above.

There was s kid dressed just like JJ Smith at the skull session, head gear and all, but also had a blanket wrapped around himself when they first walked in. He looked super bored and uninterested as they left St. John arena but if it was in fact him then I guess he felt he’d seen everything after multiple visits…? Anyway, his demeanor apparently didn’t mean much if it was him since he’s apparently locked in with the good guys.
