THE HURRY-UP: OHIO 2026 OL SAM GREER PICKS UP OHIO STATE OFFER​

It’s not too often that a recruit’s first-ever Division I offer comes from Ohio State.

But that’s exactly what happened with 2026 Ohio offensive lineman Sam Greer on Wednesday, who was given an OSU offer by Ryan Day after he visited Columbus. And hey, considering the last prospect whose first-ever Division I offer was Ohio State turned out to be Mylan Graham, who went from unranked to a five-star wide receiver and an OSU commit, his trajectory looks pretty good.



“I felt extremely blessed and excited to get an offer from The Ohio State University,” Greer told Eleven Warriors after picking up his offer. “Coach Day said he wanted to offer me based off my size and athleticism and wanted me to help be a recruiter as well.”

Watching QB Julian Lewis play vs Air Nolans LHHS team tonight and hoohoo, this kid is the real deal. He's just a touch off on his timing but what a pretty ball he's putting out there. As a Sophomore I have a hard time seeing a better QB in his class and maybe all 4 current classes from 2023 on. He can flat spin it even though the numbers haven't showed it tonight. Footwork was so smooth and the ball just rips off his hand. Oh yeah, he can run a bit too.

Edit: 2nd half was even better. Full court press this kid coach. Right NOW!

“My favorite part of the visit was how they treated every athlete, including their families, as the number one priority regardless of their status," Clemons said. "That shows a lot about the culture of Ohio State.”

The 5-foot-10, 155-pound Clemons holds seven Division I offers thus far, including Buffalo, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia. He hopes to add an Ohio State offer to the list in the future.

“To get an OSU offer would mean the world to me,” he said. “It’ll define all the hard work and dedication I put in and trusting the process that playing at a university like Ohio State is possible. My best abilities on the field are being someone willing to learn and listen to my coaches and players on the team. If the team needs me to play on the line, I’ll put my best foot forward and give it a shot. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to better the team.”
