But Braun could also redshirt this fall, and use his final year of eligibility in 2020. That would give the Buckeyes a returning veteran on the inside of the line next year.

It would also answer any lingering questions about Braun’s pass blocking after three years in Tech’s flexbone triple-option offense.

According to a source close to the recruitment, that could be an appealing option for Braun. It would give him an extra year of development with OSU’s strength program, plus two seasons working in a more traditional scheme to prepare him for the NFL.

He would also potentially be able to complete his graduate degree while in Columbus for 18 months.

Braun is scheduled to visit Texas this weekend, and the Longhorns and Florida Gators remain serious contenders for his commitment.

He is tentatively planning a trip to Columbus in March. A source tells TheOzone that OSU reached out to Braun to let him know that Jackson was going to be committing, but that they were still interested.

Not shocked, OL should be pretty much set in this class now with the Jackson commit. You'll still see tons of action in the 2020 class, but highly doubt we pursue anyone else in the transfer portal this year.

Yea. There is a huge difference between having a scumbag coach who has no other reason for being on the team other than he's related to Earle Bruce and having a player who is a thug. We just had Michael Hill get busted for trafficking meth and Corey Smith got busted for robbery (or firing a gun in public?), do you think they were choir boys while at OSU?

No....but they didn’t get arrested before or while at Ohio State. So again, pass...
