tOSU TV Viewing/ESPN GamePlan?

Most places like bw3 have a part that is a bar and a part that is more family........i'm just saying.

I appreciate that. I've contemplated going to Beedubs, I just don't think the offspring will do well there for 3 1/2 hours... I guess I'm more upset about ESPN using this to get their channel on TW than anything else... I'll listen to 1460 like always... You know, you live locally and we've been very spoiled having all the games televised... I would expect to miss a few games if I lived in Phoenix or something...

I agree and I think it is shitty how stations will do this to different groups to hold them hostage basicly. I was reading somewhere how ESPN just keeps uping the rate they charge the cable compnay because they know that cable companies won't drop espn, because their subscribers would go nuts....so instead the companies give in to the demands and then pass it on to the consumer. Something similar to this whole this is going to be brewing in the nfl with the nfl network...as starting Thanksgiving night they will be hosting games on Saturday and Thursday nights for the last two months of the season.........and Time Warner is one of the biggest company not to carry NFL Network.

There has to be a point where we just say no. ESPN has everyone by the short hairs and that's just not kool. How did they end up so powerful in College Football?

Yeah, a babysitter is my other alternative, but why should I have to? It should be on regular cable anyway. That's more the frustration than anything else. But I do thank you all for the ideas! I'm obviously a 'newbie' and I sure don't mean to overstep my bounds...
Go Buckeyes!

You didn't overstep your bounds at all.

That's what this site is here for.

Welcome!!!!

Question...

Since the game is not on gameplan, will bars still have it? I live in Chicago and went to watch bowling green two weeks ago, but that was on gameplan.

The local cable here is comcast and I don't think ESPNU is in their package....if anyone knows or can reassure me that it will be on, that'd be great. Thanks

I would definitely call around before Saturday to make sure it's going to be broadcast there...

If you have directv, ESPNU is part of the sports package. I called today to find out if they are running any deals on the sports pack, and got a $10 discount per month for the next six months - I will get the sports pack for $2 per month extra. The great thing about the sports pack is that you can add/drop it any time, and they will pro-rate the cost for the number of days you have it. I added it for one hockey game, cancelled it after one day, and was charged something like $0.50 for it.

I already emailed ESPN. Didn't get a response from them.

I also emailed ESPN, and I also did not get a response. It's bad enough they're pulling a stunt like this, but then they don't even have the decency to respond to legitimate questions from consumers. Pathetic.
