Is the toughest one two punch against the Buckeyes versus any two teams we would likely lose two in a row to? After losing to Northern Illinois because: A.) A lot of our defense is untested B.) They return more starters than do the Bucks. C.) They are picked not just to win their division, but the whole MAC Ball of Wax; and D.) We are looking ahead to the second game against You Know Who. Then, because we see how easy it is to lose, and are so down from the loss, that we turn around and lose to Texas.

Or is the toughest one two punch playing against the best defensive coach in recent history, and possibly ever in the NCAA, now the Cinncinnati Bearpaws head coach. – followed by playing against one of the top three or four all time greats: JoPa, along with his mostly returning squad (all they really lose is Robinson, but they bring back the best linebacker playing.)

Or is the toughest one two punch come after playing our hearts out, being mauled mentally and emotionally in a close victory; then having to try to do it again the following week. I don’t see this happening this year (or any other), but maybe you do.

Or is the toughest, and I think most of you will back this scenario in one way or another: Playing against a very well prepared, somewhat well rested, extremely physical team that is motivated above & beyond the normal. Then trying to turn around and do it again the next week. This is how I want to think of Penn St./ Iowa.

For those of you that like to think – or at least think you like to think - outside the box, let’s not include the Michigan / bowl (in our case, for the MNC) opponent combo. I would consider that a given in most scenarios, but they are too far apart chronologically to be thought of as a “one two”.

So, is playing Penn State’s 43 returning starters right after playing Dantonio’s Bearcats tougher than, say, playing Iowa’s always well-rounded, well-coached team in a night game right after being beat-up by JoPa’s linebackers?

To throw more gasoline on the fire, there will be those of you that will take either: Michigan, simply because it is the greatest sports rivalry ever, and then the opponent immediately proceeding them.
And others that will take Texas, and one of the opponents on either side of them, simply because they are, well, Texas.

During this championship run, we will be playing the number 2 team twice, with an outside (very outside) chance of playing the number 2 team three times. Different uniforms each time though....

The last time we did a poll like this (2004), EVERYBODY here got it wrong!
