Trash removal from Sandusky thread

gnepmatt

All-American
The details are fuzzy, but why is JoePa's job at stake? A college kid seen the crime, told JoePa and JoePa told his boss, his boss did nothing so JoePa suspected that everything was a huge misunderstanding and carried on with his job. Why didn't the witness report it to the police? Penn State obviously investigated in it, found out he was guilty and didn't act on it, but JoePa did what he was told to do. (reportedly)

If that was JoePa's grandson being sexually abused, do you really think he would've simply dumped it off to his superior and forget about, as he did? How can you KNOW that Sandusky committed the act and allow that monster to continue to be a presence on the PSU campus as late as LAST WEEK?

FIFY. BTW - that same 'kid' is now, I believe, the wide receivers coach and allegedly told his players a couple days ago that he expected to be gone by the end of the week.

Just heard that on Sirius not too long ago.

Seriously? He could/should have called the police. He allowed Sandusky to entertain kids on PSU's football facility knowing he was a child molester. IMO, he should not only be fired, he should be arrested.

He was Joe Pa's good friend, if someone told me my best friend was a child molester I'd call Bullshit and not believe them. He reported it to his boss and the boss didn't act on it, so Joe Pa figured he was innocent, which was what he wanted to believe to begin with.

It wasn't the first incident.

Who the fuck makes up a rumor about children being sexually abused? And even if it is just a "rumor", wouldn't the disgusting nature of the act make you follow up on it?

If that person told you they walked in on your best friend molesting a 10 year old boy, you would call bullshit, move on and forget it? Wow.......

Jerry Sandusky is looking for some new friends. I'm sure he would love to meet you.

How about if somebody told Joe that he just witnessed his best friend [censored]ing a 10 year old boy in the ass in the football showers. Would that grab your attention?

No. He reported it to his boss, which is what he was told to do, his boss (to his knowledge) didn't find anything. You're innocent till proven guilty, and Sandusky was not proven guilty by his Superiors.

Come on man it's his BEST FRIEND. It's all about what you want to believe.

That he already shitcanned.

(Yeah, I know, I'm making obvious points, I can't help it)

Basically, gnepmatt, other than this best friend part, I mean, you know, I was boys with Hitler, and he was cool when he wasn't on the amphetamines, so I feel you.. wait, where was I. Yeah, you've described why he hasn't been arrested. What's missing there is the moral responsibility to act based on (what now appear to be multiple instances) credible first hand and/or circumstantial evidence of forcible sodomy against a minor.
