"Troy Smith for Heisman" Video

I am amazed looking at that clip that with all of our talent, very little of the TD yardage was due to YAC. 80% of that was due to Troy's arm and finding the open guy. Only a couple were slants or screens that got busted.
I really noticed that too. A lot of QB's throw a slant and watch the receiver take it 60 yards to the house. *Cough* Brady Quinn to Jeff Samarja *Cough*

Besides Gonzo's run, Troy's passing TDs are almost all into the endzone.

RE the music: I digged it, especially on the MSU spin and then when the music breaks down for about 30 seconds (i dont remeber which part, off the top of my head from last night)

The troy to tg2 against indiana, when the second angle is shown, the ball is only lofted to get it over the defenders head. Troy is unreal. Almost every pass is money and perfectly placed.

great, great video. Good job.
As for Troy's skills, I have always gotten the impression that he must play one mean point guard. I mean, somany of his TD's are placed just like a good point guard throwing it into the post ---- if your guy is fronted, you have to loft it just right so that your guy can get it but it doesn't go out of bounds or hit the backboard...
...if your guy is covered pretty tight, you throw to the opposite side of his body from where the defender is.

And, it all requires exceedingly quick decision-making, the ability to see the whole floor - or field - and having your own good set of wheels helps.

Looks like Magic Johnson some times.

And his strength?? just watch the Fiesta Bowl again --- his two long TD passes were in the air about 60 yards, and he just FLICKED them down field.

Good stuff, and I'm glad he plays for us!

I can tell you what the scUMmers are saying up here --- they think they know how they are going to beat us --- they're going to go after Troy big time.

Hmmm.... I think they'll change their strategy about halfway through the second quarter, when they are down 28-zip. Troy will burn them, bad.

Go Bucks!

Thanks for your positive feedback!

I submitted this video to Mr. Bucknuts (bucknuts.com), Bill Simmons (ESPN .com) and Chris Huston (HeismanPundit.com).

It'd be a really big help if you can chain-letter the bejeezus out of this and help submit it to other media outlets!!!

I'd really appreciate your help getting a grass roots campaign off the ground, and I'll gladly donate vCash and Rep to the cause! :)

That's so freakin' awesome. The video is posted on HeismanPundit.com's front page and will be plugged in Mr. Bucknuts Bucket of Bullets! :biggrin2:

I'm certain that actual Heisman voters visit HeismanPundit.com, so I'm particularly stoked about that one.
