Michigan has lost 10 of its last 11 games and is now alone in last place in the Big Ten following a 69-59 defeat to Rutgers on Saturday at the Crisler Center.U-M coach Juwan Howard spoke with reporters after the result and reflected on what it’ll take for the Wolverines to end their spiral.
“I’d ever seen last place before in my life,” Howard said, “when it came to playing at a the collegiate level here, and also now coaching. This is the first time that we're going to figure out a solution to get out of it. And we're not going to, of course, just give into it. We're going to continue to work in practice, drill what we feel are the habits that will help us and then at the same time hold guys accountable when you're not doing your job.”
Howard also spoke on the second-half collapses that have become a common theme in the losing streak. In six of the 10 losses, the Wolverines have been up at halftime.
