NW'ern got an offensive rebound with about 1 minute left in regulation, and the score was tied. Why they held the ball until there were about 30 seconds left, instead of shooting between 45 and 50 seconds left, in order to get a 2-for-1, is beyond me.

Most college teams aren't smart enough to do it, though.

Thought the same thing but the way Northwestern runs their offense they usually don't get quality shots very quickly. If Shurma would have had a decent game, they probably would have won in regulation.

NW 3-2 zone was not doing them any favors. It was literally the same play the entire second half and OT. Burke brings it up the court, pass back and forth between him and Douglass, then a quick pass to a wide open person in the corner for three. I'm surprised they didn't at least try something different at some point.
