Well…. Never mind.

I guess we could look into what those room packages are all about.

Michigan lands the #588 composite, #30 TE out of Idaho and the local MGoBlog talent evaluator is “confused” by the hype around him.

I'm a little confused by the hype surrounding Loveland. His film does not stand out to me at all. I mean, he can be an Ian Bunting but that guy didn't do much.
You’d think someone who interacts with DFBIA on a regular basis wouldn’t be confused anymore when they respond like a bunch of stupid, hypocritical, wildly inconsistent jackasses living in an alternative reality where, say, your probably competent 3-star TE prospect is going to counter your opponent stacking 5-star DEs.

Welcome Colston. Can't wait for you to knock Jack Sawyer or JT what's his nuts on his ass with a chip block in The Game and also catch a touchdown for good measure against those fuckers.

Bonus evidence for the “they don’t even want to try to compete as they take the easiest path they can to commitments they don’t have to compete for” theory.

Great pickup. Great tape. Now let's hope we stop chasing the Ga TEs that never commit.
Locked up the #522 composite, #27 TE and the #588 composite, #30 TE in the class, thank goodness we don’t need to compete for the #84 composite, #3 TE that we were supposed to be in the running for anymore.

It’s funny when they, probably accidentally, admit that money has very little to do with what Ohio State and Bama are doing—kids want to play for championships while being developed to play in the NFL.

The only way the nil helps Michigan is if we use the money cannon and far and away outdo every other program at the top.

Yep, Michigan will have to take the Ole Miss route to recruiting success by REALLY cheating their asses off and outbidding everyone else since they, like Ole Miss, neither compete for championships or develop NFL talent.

Edit (that thread really is bottomless fun):

Nah, it should actually balance things out more. It doesn’t benefit a player to be the 6th or 7th best player in his class at a top school and play most of your career out of the spotlight when he could commit somewhere like Michigan or Penn State and be the best or 2nd best player, and be much more marketable as a result.

The tales of Joe Burrow and Donovan Peoples-Jones strongly differ with this assessment.

Player development is player development, and being developed by the best and with the best is clearly still better than being the #1 receiver and being developed into a sixth rounder at Michigan.

Thank you to Joe Burrow for helping to make that case so strongly, especially with the new transfer rule. Come play with the best and be developed, and if the cards don’t fall right for you on the depth chart, go try to shine in the best landing spot you can find for your final year or two as you ramp up to the draft.

Does anyone else hear their fight song and laugh nowadays? That song used to get me angry. Now it's just a sarcastic anthem that highlights their mediocrity that makes me smile.
I went to Yellow Springs last week with the family and saw a guy with a scUM hoodie. He saw my OSU t shirt and smiled and said he hopes we win it all this year. Me and my daughter looked at each other Puzzled as he nodded his head at me and left. Their fans can't even talk $hit anymore, and they can barely admit that were rivals at this point
