Landed Myles Pollard, the #431 composite, #32 CB out of Tennessee.

The #mobmove continues as they continue to recruit at the exact same level as they always have in three star heaven, but in clumps, so momentum!

I see MyLLLLes of misery in his future.

Of course they are quick to point out that Bama "offer". I'm 110% sure that it was commitable and Bama would have taken him.

I have it on good authority that Bama recruits so well because of bagmen. Taking that as a fact one of two things have to be true;

1) Bama wasn't actually after this guy hard enough to spend money on him OR
2) tsun bagmen paid more

Wonder which it is?

It's the same canned response to all of these 3* "THEIR RANKING IS YET TO CATCH UP WITH THEIR OFFERS LISTS!"

Which will be fun to revisit in a few months when they haven't changed too much.

They legit think Harbaugh & co. Are deliberately ignoring higher ranked prospects because they prefer guys ranked much much lower because they have "discovered" them as much higher talents before anyone else. Astonishing logic, but not really considering who its coming from.

It would be somewhat understandable if there was some sort of track record to point to, but 1) this is basically a brand new coaching staff so any past scouting and development success doesn’t mean much 2) even if there was continuity on the staff, there are very few success stories to point to and 3) even the success stories who were drafted didn’t do much in college, as evidenced by their W/L record, with a perfect example being a “success” like Kwity Paye, who did next to nothing in college and was drafted on raw potential.

41/91, 45%, of their recruits in the last 4 classes (18,29,20,21) were 3*

So of course more 3* are going to see the field. I think they think its a "success" when one sees major playing time, regardless to how good or bad said player actually was though.

for comparison sake during the same time only 19/90, 21%, of Ohio State's recruits were 3*.

Their ratio is getting even worse this year too considering 9 of their current 15 commits are 3*. The illusion that these new guys are "killing it" is hilarious. They are on pace to crush the number of lower rated commits in a single class during the Harbaugh era.

Harbaugh has constantly shown that he struggles to retain players as well, so its far from assured that many of these guys will actually stay and "develop" for 3/4/5 years.

Yes everyone has some 3* players in their classes. They'll point that out constantly.

Difference is Michigan gets a significant amount more than the current top level teams. Which is why they will continue to not reach anywhere near that level.

For the Class of 2022, Michigan has more 3* recruits (9) than Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Louisiana State combined (7).

Georgia: 1/11 (9.1%)
Alabama: 1/9 (11.1%)
Clemson: 1/8 (12.5%)
Ohio State: 2/16 (12.5%)
Louisiana State: 2/12 (16.7)
Michigan: 9/15 (60.0%)

Not all 3* are created equal either.

247 will throw a 3* on a guy like Aaron Alexander who is "NA" overall in the composite

5 of their 3* are 700+ nationally. All are non K/P

Bama, LSU, Clemson & UGA have 1 in that range but they are either Kickers or Punters. None of the mentioned have a non special teamer at that level.
