Saw something this morning... Vaunted offensive guru Pep Hamilton of the Cleveland Browns might be headed to join The Harbrau at scUM.... gangs getting back together...

Copying this from a discussion on scout about whether Michigan can reload like OSU did this year.

OSU was losing most of their top-5 class from 2012 & 13, but rebuilding with the #5, #8 & #2 classes after that.

Michigan is losing their top-5 classes from 2012 & 13. What are they rebuilding with?

Michigan recruiting classes

2014 - Ranked #27, only 16 recruits, 1 5-star, 3 top-100, only 7 4-stars. 5* Peppers is gone

2015 - Ranked #35, only 14 recruits, 0 5-star, 1 top-100, only 7 4-stars.

2016 - Ranked #7, signed 29 recruits, 2 5-star, 7 top-100, plus 13 4-stars.

2017 - Ranked #3, signed 27 recruits, 1 5-star, 5 top-100, plus 19 4-stars.

- Likely drops a few spots before the end if they do not close well (Nico Collins, Willie Gay may get away like Isaiah Wilson)

They should be very talenteddown the line, but this year shapes up to be a rebuilding effort unless those youngsters come of age very quickly.

I've been saying that they are probably one year away from being able to reload on a year-in year-out basis. Maybe even two, but a minimum one. The only way they can have a year without a drop off is if they are EXTREMELY fortunate with near-zero injuries, AND their sophomore class is epic like the OSU '13 class was when they made the championship run.

This is Hairball's third recruiting class (second full-cycle class). Despite all the fucking psychotic ravings and recruiting gimmicks, he's still getting his ass handed to him on the recruiting circuit by the Urbanator. You would figure that with the season they had (in serious playoff discussion all the way up to the actual selection), playing us pretty much dead-even, playing in arguably the most exciting bowl game of the year, and finishing in the top-10, they'd be challenging Bama for the top recruiting class for 2017. Nope. They can get two more 5-stars while we stand pat and they'd still finish behind us despite having ten more commits...and you know we're not going to stand pat.
