right. but the implication is that the financial adviser had a client who was a 2009 nfl player (larry johnson jr.). that client's father was an assistant (senior) at psu who requested $10k to be paid to a player's (maybin) father. the money was paid but later returned.

if the allegations are true and there is material evidence linking larry johnson sr. to the payments, then his goose is cooked. psu, too. regardless of how things shake out, though, i'm expecting senior to retire earlier than expected. osu will want to cut bait, but that might be a legal matter regarding the contract. my bet is we don't see him on the sidelines this fall.

Didn’t have those dots connected, yet. Thanks

Meanwhile, Roy Williams just got a commitment from the #2 recruit in the country ...

It's important to remember that the NCAA was created at the demand of President Teddy Rooseveltt to clean up college sports or else...

The last few years have shown that the powers of the NCAA can't match the powers of the money being paid by TV for football and basketball and the will of the universities to police themselves.

Just don't go chasing people faster than you to the sidelines, Devin. Even when you have the angle, you'll still fuck it up and hurt yourself in the process.

Dating myself here a bit but it used to be called the "taxi driver" theory. It said that when you are in town for business and you get advice from the taxi driver, ignore it or do the opposite. Point being the thing was too well known at that point and had likely already changed.

This is an example of that. When some podcasting unknown schlub like this Riddick person has jumped on the bandwagon of chumming the water for DFBIA clicks then it's probably not a good investment anymore.

Then again, the theory fails if the gullibility/stupidity of the DFBIA is infinite which, it most certainly is.

Hmm
