Tulsa Golden Hurricane at tOSU, Sep 18, 3:30 ET on FS1

So you've seen 3 wideouts bundled together
and you've been handled by a WR pick play taking out 2 of your defenders
then they set up the exact same formation
why would you not have your middle DB jam the middle WR who you've already seen his job is to set the pick?

Kinda reminds one of watching the same play go for 3 TDs last week

Front seven continues to underwhelm...
LBs are totally confused
Who'da guessed I'd miss Borland

Having a practice game next week hardly preps us for what will be some damn tough games in October

you know…the same Play Indiana ran like 4 times last year for TD’s.

I'd like to see what McCord can do myself. I just don't think CJ is the guy. Why run the read option when the QB is not going to ever pull it?

Why line up the exact same way and run man when everyone under the sun understands youre running man and they pick the crap out of you. Reminds of when Day pants'd Don Brown with crossing routes because he refused to get out of man and had some slow dud covering this no-name never heard of kid named Olave that made his name a household name in ichigan that day.

Eh this calling for CJ Stroud to be benched is a bit much. He's a freshman he's going to make some freshman mistakes you don't bench him over it. McCord, Miller and Ewers wil hopefully get some reps next week against a bad bad akron team
Maybe but we said that last week too. Its about having another guy ready more than replacing one, imo. If his shoulder worsens or he digresses you dont want to have to start fresh against Maryland or Penn State later on.

Got a chance to watch the game. Offensively it still feels like we’re beating ourselves. The talent is there for a truly unstoppable offense. They just need to put it together consistently.

Defense still scares the living shit out of me. At least they got a lot of critical stops but man oh man. It’s going to be an adventure back there all year.

Overall it felt like they were a few plays from breaking the game wide open but would make critical mistakes. A dropped pass, a pick, a fumble. A lot of work to do.

THey looked better than last week. Not much better but they a little better. Bringing Rhodes onto the field makes me feel like they are prepping for him to call plays though.

If CJ isn't healthy then he needs to get out... today wasn't good at all but his first 2 games were awesome. Something just looks way off with this team and I can't put my figure on it.

1. They got at least two sacks and some pressure today - looked hopeful.

2. I hate guys who sit in the pressbox and tell buddy stories from their NFL days. Hope that's the last time we have to deal with those assholes this year.
I wondered why we got so much pro Tulsa coverage then the guy said he played for Oklahoma in the 4th and I'm like it all makes sense now

After the first two games I was pretty convinced Stroud was the guy. He had his freshman moments, but overall he made some big plays. Today he just looked bad against a bad team. We keep hearing about his shoulder and maybe that’s the problem. If it is and it doesn’t get better, they need to “next man up”, because he held the offense back quite a bit today. We’ve seen flashes of what he’s capable of, but if he’s limited because of his shoulder, he shouldn’t be out there. Miller and McCord were both highly regarded recruits, I have to think one of them could do better. I’m not mentioning Ewers because he should still be in HS right now.
